    yeah that could be good, freight workings are always nice to see on preserved lines as they look good and normally don't stop in stations which is good for filmigs, mixed with lots of different locos that could be very good.

    As I am new to this forum I was very interested in what people were saying on the 'ultimate locomotive to visit a preserved line' thread. I wondered what people thought about the 'best possible' diesel-based event at a preserved railway and I think it would be interesting for all of us to hear...

    Everyone has their own opinion but a class 60 is rare for passenger haulage!! They also revolutionised Biritish freight and were the last class to be built in Britain - they deserve their place in History

    60059, no question!!! Can't beat a loadhaul tug. Wouldn't it be great to have an event at a preserved line where a loco like '059 was present and there was a really good air with all sots of differnt aspects of the hobby catered for...
