Is this still usable as a conventional service train since the franchise was split off? There are no fares showing in NRE, but the service is listed as being there. I suppose the excellent advances that used to be available Mallaig > Glasgow using this service for a good later departure weren't...
What happens if you are on along journey and show all your tickets to the guard at the first opportunity and he grips them all? Could you then run into bother later in the journey with a different guard who might think you were re-using the portion that was valid at the time he was checking...
High mileage, a Man of Steel move, and quality traction! Sounds like a winning GBBO combination. Only worry is rancidness after the move causing big deductions.
Judging by what I saw today, 37 bashers could do with evolving a means of getting across the footbridge at St Bees in double quick time! Go go gadget legs.....

An interesting twist. What would be the reasons for elimination? Too many Voyagers? Behaving like a complete vegetable in the vestibule of the Anglia 37s? Generally bringing the hobby into disrepute on national telly?
I did it right enough, just to say I had basically. Was very glad to get out at Glasgow though.
Done the Chieftain throughout a few times, but always in First. Now that VTEC have abolished EC's excellent rewards points (and replaced it with worthless Nectar Points, grrrrr!) I doubt I'll do it...
