    Colour railway slide scanner recommendations

    I have an Epson Perfection V600 scanner and have scanned my collection of about 2500 colour slides with it. The results are very good. Scan them as TIFF files though, not JPEG. They will be bigger files but you will have a bit more dynamic range to play with if you process them in Photoshop or...

    4498 ran from Newcastle to Carlisle and back (twice I think) on June 17th 1972. Then on September 16th 1972, 19 ran from York to Scarborough and back.

    Flying Scotsman - Liverpool to Manchester - March 12, 1980

    The '150 Anniversary Troops By Train' special ran from Liverpool to York on Wednesday, March 11th 1981. The locomotive on this tour was 850 'Lord Nelson'. 4472 'Flying Scotsman' was used on a Liverpool - Manchester and return special on Wednesday 12th March 1980.

    URGENT HELP NEEDED! Looking for a superzoom DSLR lens

    Sigma do an 18-300mm. I used one when I had a Canon EOS 450D. It saved changing lenses and the quality was very good. It was compatible with Canon's EF-S mounts but not EF.
