They're not a purchase... all passenger stock deployment is driven by DfT these days so in all a deployment to Chiltern was actually a logical step. 13 unique train sets kept within one narrow operation.
The mess-up with their original ordering has been discussed to death on here I'm sure.
DRS isn't losing any 68s to Chiltern. My understanding is the six returnees (010-015) will allow a number of 66s to go off lease.
DRS will have no relationship with Chiltern once the Mk3s are stood down.
