Upon arriving at Oxenholme Lake District we board the 12:21 Avanti West Coast service 9S54 to Edinburgh Waverley arriving there at 14:19 on Saturday afternoon.

The average everyday commuters will not care about the centenary and this is clearly to put on events this year for enthusiasts! Stop moaning and be thankful they’re doing anything at all!!

The only gripe I tend to have with the 195s is the fact that when I tend to get them it’s the Leeds-Nottingham fast train and a 195/0 is simply too small for peak demand.. the lack of grab handles in the vestibule area results in an almost crush area in the vestibule... highly uncomfortable and...
