I believe a guards course has just started at Leeds and there is another scheduled for March, although I'm not 100%. I know there are another 4 guards who passed all driver assessments who didn't make the January course. So there will be even more guard jobs to fill by the next Driver course!

There are at least 5 for Leeds on the course starting Tuesday for depot induction. 3 guards and 2 depot drivers I know for sure. Could be another for Leeds but I'm not sure.

My understanding is that if an Internal/External pass to same standard, internal gets priority due to a Union agreement. This new test procedure is just a pass/fail whereas the previous tests had low/high passes. This would explain an external going ahead of an internal.

Good chance all the places on the January course were filled with internal candidates, usually they get preference I think.
