That was 222011, which is back in service now. All other sets have seen use in the past few days, apart from 103/104. I know 104 is off lease, does anybody know if 103 has followed?
Yes, the only current 10 car service is the 1602 STP-SHF. This is required to form 2x services back south from Sheffield. However from 31st August, this is no longer the case, so it will be a single. I don't think there will be any doubles on a weekday from 31st August.
222011 has recently made a comeback after being out of service for a few months. Sounds like it could be re-jigging of diagrams more than anything. There is some slack in some at the moment, and some services based on some others being doubles.
While the engines have more power in an 810, I believe the the combined motor power is actually less than a 222, which might explain the performance difference?

A few months ago, I got the 0609 CHD-STP. 5 car 222 on a Saturday morning. I had coach A to myself Leicester to London! I do accept that is not the norm though.
