Got a 168/0 last Sunday in 30 degrees heat and fairly sure one of the coaches had the heating on full blast, needless to say it was empty with everyone piling into the other 3 coaches which were slightly cooler
Self explanatory title, what do people think the best course to do would be in order to stand in good stead to be a Train Fitter or engineer? Alot of TOCs ask for prior experience hence my question.

Just been on a very toasty trip to London from High Wycombe. The do not travel warnings seems to have not had much effect as the few trains that were running were overcrowded and dangerously warm. Not having a train going north from Marylebone in almost an hour then the next train only being 3...
Potentially a set or two coming out this afternoon, just been past Wembley Depot on a very crowded 2 car 165 (why not increase the capacity of the trains you are running on a reduced timetable?) and saw two sets powered up by the depot exit.
Right now? They're getting closer pricing wise as the cost of red diesel has doubled in the last few weeks thanks to everything going on in the middle east
I got a SWR train the other week where the guard apologised for the 1 minute delay arriving into Waterloo and the official reason for the delay. I admire the level of customer service but do feel it was a little extreme
