I agree.
I live 3 towns down from Cheshire oaks and I wouldn't get the train to it. The car wins, as carting a load of shopping around by train isn't my idea of fun.
Geographically the best route would be to follow the canal - under the motorway - but God knows the cost that it would incur...
Not passenger service.
Considering they havent even got a training plan yet....... And the new traction 195 is rumoured to be a 7 day course. That's for train crew alone.
Then maintenance will need a play with them etc.
A miracle is required for them to see paying customers before spring...
In fact, I don't understand how that's been agreed. The LDC box would be overflowing with dockets here if that was applied.
That said, our LDC is very very good and despite some of the nasty jobs they have removed or altered a lot of what the magic computer spat out.
I'll check tomorrow but...
I take it that's an eastern docket? I assume it is as the dark side have some bizzare dockets and rostering rules .
As that would be rejected at my gaff, even though it's a 10 minute journey. We don't have any short journeys like that. The shortest is 20 minutes, and even then you get 15 mins...
144's aren't going anywhere from Northern.
Porterbrook is leaving them as they are until 769's come online.
You can have some angel 142's and be happy.
*Taps nose.
I don't know of any 2 minute turnarounds.
A PC takes 5 mins unless you are taking over from someone in the same direction, then it's one minute.
I think the minimum on routes I cover is 6 minutes, which involves a walk on a platform.
Although you are always lates so you have the choice of...
Bore off with the merseyrail extensions. It's not happening.
The services will terminate at different spots due to space at Chester.
One service will be all stops from Chester - Victoria
The other will be Ellesmere port-WBQ-NLW- Vic and onwards.
It's a vast improvement in connection for...
I've enough to think about where my own train is, never mind every other train. Then the what train is going X. When two train go there but in different directions. This aligned with the minimum walking time means unless I'm stood near a screen then I am of non-use to the passenger.
Especially...
Not a chance up here.
You would need control to ring it's preferred cab firm.
Staff have ZERO authority to spend anything.
Problem comes is that the last train doesn't show at a small station and you have to ring around the houses, and even then you still might not get controls number. It's...
1. Rules. That's the hardest bit imo.
2. You will start with a few routes. These will be hammered into you with an instructor. Once you pass out you will continue for a few months on the same routes before going to learn more. It's gradual.
3. Fault finding is led by maintenance control. You...
