Hi,
I have been trying to book the sleepers (twin berth) from London to Fort William on Monday 1st December, however it is fully booked and furthermore the entire week is fully booked. I appreciate it is fairly short notice but is it normal for the passenger loadings to be so high on that route ?
Hi Guys.I have asked the following question on the Twitter pages of X/C,Transpennine Express,VTEC and Virgin Trains.... "If I change my STD advance ticket to 1st class advance for exact same train,do I need to also pay a extra £10 admin fee?" All the Atoc''s said yes, except VTEC.I read the fares...
I have travelled many times with Scotrail from Glasgow to Inverness return. Each time I have a ticket to attach to the cycle, one for myself,a seat reservation and the actual travel ticket. At the cycle space there has never been a reservation tag to indicate that the cycle space is reserved.My...
Hello again.Scotrail confirmed today that a Group Save is valid on the Carstairs route. However no such ticket exists from Motherwell to Edinburgh. This may be a oversight, but no such fare exists from Wishaw,Carluke or Carstairs. They did confirm a ticket from Bellshill to Edinburgh is valid with...
I think they have misled me a bit. When they quoted the Ayr to Edinburgh route was not valid, I assumed that was because the service started from Ayr rather than Glasgow. However it has just dawned on me that a Glasgow-Edinburgh GroupSave ticket would be valid at Queen Street low level on a...
Yeah I would have thought that as well. However customer services claim that via Carstairs is not a valid route. The website does state Glasgow to Edinburgh all routes. But going via Carstairs is called the Ayr to Edinburgh route,so I can see were they are coming from.I also asked if I could buy a...
Hi,guys.
Just a wee query regarding the Group Save product that Scotrail sell.
The website says it is available on all routes from Glasgow to Edinburgh .It is also available from intermediate stops eg Croy or Bellshill .However it is not available from Motherwell.
I assumed all routes also...
Hello again. My employer is Scotrail.I was thinking of doing a journey from London Euston to Fort William.I'm happy enough to take advantage of free travel and then purchase another ticket at £85 to obtain sole use of the berth. However the £85 price is pretty hard to get in the month of June.Do...
Thanks for the replies guys. You have been very helpful.I was considering buying a Priv Saver Return from Glasgow to London Euston.Travel down on a daytime service and return on the seated portion providing I had a reservation, however the info posted clearly states I can't.Thanks for taking the...
Hi guys. Can anyone confirm a couple of questions regarding the sleeper. From the information I can find it appears all staff travel is prohibited in the seated coach. However can I buy a privilege 75% discounted standard single with a seat reservation? Regarding child dependants,do they get a...
Yeah the pass says Child, even though they are a adult. If it just said dependant then it would be straight forward and easier to understand.I have spoken to a few people about it now,and almost everyone has a different interpretation. My son looks mature for his age.I would not be happy with him...
Hi.I have non safeguarded staff privilege cards.I am aware that I get a 75% discount on walk up tickets.I also have 2 children over 16.They are still in education, therefore they still have their cards, which although they are now adults it still has child dependant printed on them.My son wants...
Thanks for your input guys. The only other issue I have heard of,is Transpennine not allowing SPT zone cards on their services. However I think it was only a problem on the afternoon outbound service from Glasgow Central, which is no longer running.I don't think the guards check the tickets between...
