The TrainSplit apps fully support E-Tickets for all ScotRail journeys

As far as i know that would be an accreditation fail. There are quite a few ScotRail tickets not available as eTicketsThe TrainSplit apps fully support E-Tickets for all ScotRail journeys![]()
Bit like that machine at GLC that printed E-Tickets onto paper, then?As far as i know that would be an accreditation fail. There are quite a few ScotRail tickets not available as eTickets
As far as I know we paid - 5 years ago - for hundreds of eticket readers on Scottish gatelines on the proviso that they would introduce etickets. Which they haven’t done. Though they did introduce m-tickets which only they can sell. Should we remove the barcode scanners? As far as i know that would be an accreditation fail. Do the barcode scanners at ScotRail stations not accept e-tickets?As far as I know we paid - 5 years ago - for hundreds of eticket readers on Scottish gatelines on the proviso that they would introduce etickets. I know it’s a Network Rail station but was told by a ScotRail staff member the gates for platforms 6, 7 11 and 12 at Edinburgh Waverley are “ScotRail managed” and I have successfully scanned E-tickets issued by LNER at said gates.Do the barcode scanners at ScotRail stations not accept e-tickets?
This rather misses the point.Do the barcode scanners at ScotRail stations not accept e-tickets?
Most wouldn't believe it but ScotRail are a larger blocker for us retiring CCST than TfL areAs far as I know we paid - 5 years ago - for hundreds of eticket readers on Scottish gatelines on the proviso that they would introduce etickets. Using mTicket data ? yeah funny that.Bit like that machine at GLC that printed E-Tickets onto paper, then?

I do believe youMost wouldn't believe it but ScotRail are a larger blocker for us retiring CCST than TfL are
CCST is credit card size ticket - an orange card ticket. As I understand it, a barcode reader on a gate or in a ticket inspector's hand is simply looking for a QR code, and doesn't care whether it is an m-ticket or an e-ticket or a paper printout. Is that wrong? And what is CCST?
Can you give an example of a flow which is not e-ticketable?
- Other retailers (Trainsplit and LNER being examples) will sell ScotRail tickets as eTickets if they can, but not all flows are eTicketable
Can you give an example of a flow which is not e-ticketable?
The sort of flows which have likely been disabled to reduce short faring.Short ones around Glasgow, e.g. Glasgow Queen Street to Charing Cross, Anderston to Glasgow Central.
Thank you.Short ones around Glasgow, e.g. Glasgow Queen Street to Charing Cross, Anderston to Glasgow Central.
It does seem ScotRail keep downplaying the impact of these problems, both on launch day and even in recent times. One of them said Scotrail had told them there were few complaints when they asked about it.
Strange Avocet has always be3n reliable for us.I didn't realise how long the issues had been going on. I don't use the app but I was on a train today where the ticket collector had to give up as her machine was not working.
But the passengers got talking and I got the impression that if you had a flexipass then the app was not working and they were getting free travel.

What's to bet it was the Miura PED which was causing issues!Strange Avocet has always be3n reliable for us.
Yeah sounds about right hopefully the new ones will be a little more robustWhat's to bet it was the Miura PED which was causing issues!
A PED is a PIN Entry Device - basically a card machine for taking payments, though realistically most people tap contactless rather than inserting a card and tapping in their PIN now.I have to ask, what are Strange Avocet and Miura PED?
Avocet is the name of a ticket issuing system which was developed by TTKI have to ask, what are Strange Avocet and Miura PED?
No.A lot of the recent posts seem off-topic. Is the ScotRail app now functioning perfectly?
In a word - 'no'.A lot of the recent posts seem off-topic. Is the ScotRail app now functioning perfectly?
Northern Rail app can sell Scotrail m-tickets - there may be others.Though they did introduce m-tickets which only they can sell.
