Trivia: Railway stations primarily accessed through shopping centres

I'm not talking about railway stations with large areas of retail, but stations that are exclusively or mainly accessed through (at least what appears to be a) third party shopping centre.

Krakow is the most obvious one I can think of.

When I was in Helsinki, the signed interchange route at Leppavaara between mainline trains the tram is through the Sello shopping centre. I think the wayfinding was in the shopping centre house style rather than railway or municipal transport house style.

Any other examples?

Not one I've been to myself; Neue Mitte Stadtbahn station in Oberhausen looks like it's mostly accessible from Westfield Centro and the surrounding development, and I don't know how much access there is from the non-shopping centre part.

Not very international either, but I seem to remember that Cooden Beach was only accessible through a shop (which I think sold rail tickets) during shop opening hours. However on a recent visit I noticed the access through the shop had been very permanently sealed off!

There must be a few in China, Korea and Japan without a direct exit to the street, though probably more metro stations than heavy rail. But you did say "mainly accessed through" in which case more stations would likely qualify.

Many of the newer or rebuilt stations in Spain have large shopping centres attached, under the brand name "Vialia" - owned by the railway infrastructure authority ADIF. Usually on formerly disused land from closed sidings etc. Many are no more intrusive than say Birmingham New Street is, but the station at Vigo-Urzaiz (opened 2015) is very much buried in its Vialia structure.

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned Wrexham Central, where the station entrance is similar to the surrounding shops.
No quite 'in a shopping centre' but changing stations at Stratford (to or from Stratford International) involves walking through a shopping centre.

Some major Italian stations - Roma Termini and Milano Centrale for example - try very hard to funnel passengers through their in-house shopping centres between the street and the platforms....but they do still have independent entrances for non-shopaholics.

Katowice, Poland. Galeria Katowicka bolts onto the station (though there is also external access via the eastern doors.

The Galeria has aircon while the station concourse & platforms don't hence it being rather over-crowded when I passed through during the heatwave recently !

Melbourne Central station in Victoria, Australia has an eponymous shopping centre through which one must walk to access entry to the platforms.

I'd guess most passengers access Meadowhall and Gateshead MetroCentre from the shopping centres (or adjacent car parks and bus stations).

A fair few MTR stations in Hong Kong are integrated into large shopping malls, but some only have entrances/exits inside the mall. Back in the COVID days, their government mandated that only those with vaccination certificates can enter malls, meaning some stations were made out of bounds for unvaccinated passengers.

Liverpool Central is mostly accessed via a shopping centre (though there is a small side entrance that avoids it) though the shopping centre is quite small and only just worthy of the name.

It also used to be directly accessible from the adjacent Lewis's department store!

While it is advertised on the outside, Liverpool Central station only really starts inside the mall it's located within.

There is also a side entrance I discoved about 1 minute ago which has stairs and directs wheelchair users (and buggies) via the shopping centre.

Utrecht in the Netherlands was for many years only accessible via a shopping centre, but it has since been extensively rebuilt and now has an independent route as well.

It always had: on the city center side one could walk via the bus station and around the shopping center. And there was a second entrance from the Jaarbeursplein for many years.

Though the most attractive route has always been via the shopping center which therefore also was open overnight.
And the owner of the shopping center has long been against the construction of stairs to the Moreelsebrug, as there have been old agreements that the main foot traffic would go through Hoog Catherijne.

RER E is only accessible via the CNIT whereas the others (RER A/M1/T2) through the main rail hub have direct surface entrances

I recollect, but might be mistaken, that one entrance/exit to Southport station is through a posh (it is Southport) supermarket, possibly Waitrose.
