Hello - can a wise reader unravel this little mystery for me?

1Z81 Chesterfield to Portsmouth Harbour was, apparently, curtailed at Havant. Yet, I heard it pass Bedhampton at 13:40; was it ECS en route to Fratton? Or, did it complete its booked path?

1Z85 return path should have departed Portsmouth Harbour at 15:44. RTT shows no movement, so is this service cancelled? Diverted? Starting from another location?

Many thanks for any insight

Hello,

1Z81 did indeed terminate at Havant as a passenger service with the train running ECS to Fratton Depot and passengers going forward to Portsmouth on SWR and Southern services. This was due to what had been the leading loco failing on the MML near Kettering, resulting in the trailing loco having to be run round to the front of the train. This made it impossible to go beyond Havant so as not to block the locos in.

I’m assuming some repairs have been made to the defective loco as the ECS has run (albeit late) from Fratton Depot to Portsmouth Harbour, where it is about to depart as 1Z85 to Chesterfield.

Hello. I photographed Freightliner 66522 heading South through Atherstone at 13.12 this afternoon on an intermodal service but I've not been able to work out what it is working can anybody help please. Alan

It’s going via Leicester and Peterborough presumably due to the ongoing issues at Stratford, which in the other thread have been resolved in the last hour.

Could anyone please confirm that 69010 is still at EMD Longport - and if anyone can let me know whether its visible from passing trains or the streets round the back of the depot, even better. And it'd be handy to know if it's likely to be heading elsewhere this morning - nothing showing on RTT for now, but you (I) can never tell for sure!

Still there according to tops report this morning, couldn’t say whether its visible unfortunately
