There's also an extra vehicle needed for the 11 now the 12 is split off, but some single deck EVs on order.
Believe its E12s that are on order

I would imagine that the increased PVRs should easily be met by the 3 E10s currently on the 3 and the frequency decreases on other routes, infact i’d expect that one or two E10s will probably still end up as extra spares

Are there any changes in double deck route PVRs that could result in repaints? Will the 79 increase be covered by the cuts to the 78? I was thinking the 24 being cut might mean a lilac biogas could be repainted given the 25/27 can in theory use 675 and 676 (assuming the Ultroliners are playing ball ), but then i think they were already a lilac biogas down due to an RTC.

The Turquoise buses have started to be rebranded to 77/78/79 together so I wonder if these routes will interwork to cover the 79 increase

The withdrawal of the 3 is appearing on some relevant bus stop screens as well. I assume other screens will show relevant notices for that particular stop.
Just noticed the physical flag has been changed as well.

Bus stop flags have been changed in the Nottinghamshire County Council area - I've noticed changes in Ruddington and Netherfield. No changes to ones in the city area yet.

There is so many spares used on lilac line, like when im walking on the 27 route I will guarantee to see 1 or 2, also in the paper leaflet at the bottom they shaped the biogas bus cartoon thingy (below the timetable) for the ultraliner. So I'm guessing that the 24 cut will fill in the spares used lots currently, but idk.

Carlton has also changed. The 24 and N26 are no longer there

I would say the use of spares has probably been caused more by the unreliability of the ultraliners.

I’d say the lilac line has had a lack of branded buses since before the Ultroliners were even on the scene. In fact I’d probably say NCT had expected (hoped) 675 and 676 would free up the spares normally used on lilac line to help see off the omnidekkas more quickly

One broke down on me at Morrisons about a month ago. Driver said it wouldn’t start

With regard to route numbering and solving the service 9 route number duplication, what if the Green Line services were renumbered into the 90s series to put them closer to the 90?

Such a renumbering scheme could involve just tacking the number 9 onto the front of the existing numbers, hence:
90 stays unchanged
11 becomes 91
12 becomes 92
5 becomes 95, and so forth through 9
10 becomes 93 or 94 as there is already a 90

But why do this when the south-of-the-Trent services have been the lowest numbers for a long time? This feels like change for the sake of it.

It sounds like a big change relative to getting Kinch to re-number the 9.

The more sensible solution would be getting Kinch to re-number the 9 (one single route) rather than an entire network. They also have more numbers available to them that would still see it fit into their Loughborough numbering.

As it's the 9 following the demise of Premiere, when it was Red 9, perhaps it should return to the previous "99" number it had when Nottingham to Coalville was a Midland Fox - Arriva operation.

Alternatively, it may be worth accepting that this doesn't cause on the ground confusion. If you're a visitor to Nottingham, they use differing outbound stops at the main traffic generating end of the route (City Loop or Broadmarsh bus station), different stops at the Railway Station and only after that - where likely local journeys are being made by those who are used to the local network and the two differing colours of buses that each "9" produces, do they start to share the stops.

Also on the bus stops it says key places, like nct 9 says compcton shops and central avenue shops, also on the screens it says the company (on newer ones - so the city centre is covered)

even K9 would suffice.

As well as the obvious changes, I can see they've also removed some peak hour boards from some services

For example the Brown 17 used to have an extra bus at peak times to maintain the 10 minute frequency, now there are periods where this widens to 14 minutes to allow the same number of buses to be used all day

The 48 no longer has the extra peak board that used to use a double deck (and be indicated as doing so in the timetable)

Do you think they will brand the orange line and Navy 1 and 4 like this in future when new buses come, they will have to put electric on the 4 as they want to be emissions plan.

The website has had a revamp in the last couple of days, with the company name in a different typeface and now having Nottingham in larger letters instead of Transport as shown there. So I'd expect to see revised graphics appearing on the buses as well. They may drop the Nottingham Electri-city Transport graphic as it's getting close to business as usual now.

And they've made that cheapo E400City logo official, by the looks of it...

(They should hire me instead, I've got an idea...)

At one stage I did think the new logo was going to be imminently rolled out across vehicles when it appeared in places like the new travel shop and signage at Parliament Street garage, however the only bus to have gained the new logos so far is 500. Since then the yellow line biogas buses have had all their branding reapplied in black but have kept the existing logo, so who knows?

I suppose we'll find out for sure when the next electric batches arrive.

Personally I'd rather the buses keep the existing logo since the new one doesn't look right with the bus icon - it makes the whole logo asymmetrical and introduces a colour which won't sit right on some of the livery colours. Plus I don't want to have to photograph nearly 300 buses all over again because they had new logos put on...

From what I can see in terms of yutongs the 45 now seems to require 4 vehicles all day (used to be 2 branded all day with a spare helping at peak times) and the changes to the greens seem to have increased demand by 2 vehicles.

I’d assume on that basis that yellows 271/2 will probably end up on greens whilst ex navy 3s 276/7/8 will probably end up spare?

The new yutong e12s announced for next year will presumably consist of either 4 for the 45 (201/2 go spare) and 3 for the 90 or 2 for 45, 3 for 90 and 2 spares?

I can't imagine why NCT would want to go to the bother of getting four new red buses and repaint the two existing ones when it would be cheaper to get just two new red ones.

But then again, the last time they ordered gas buses, they then decided they'd bought too many orange ones and repainted some of the old orange ones.
