Applied in Feb, have all tests passed, still no DMI. Anyone in the same boat. Waterloo depot. It has opened twice since, March and June.

I’ve just heard Waterloo needs the most due to being the biggest depot and then being understaffed, apparently. Not sure about other depots.

Thats over the next 3-4 years due to retirements and natural staff turnover, its not a massive issue as made out at the moment.
I heard Waterloo needs drivers desperately, not sure why it’s taking so long.
It would still take a trainee from fresh about a year and half assuming a driving instructor is also immediately available, they're not going to fill all the courses with just Waterloo trainees as a result of both that and that other depots will have more immediate needs to be filled that can also be properly handled.

Fair enough, thanks for the info. Hope it’s not too much longer for a call.

Hi everyone, it's amazing to hear of the stories that people shared it is very insightful and beneficial.

I need help with my SWR Assessment I have just done the first art TRP 1AND2m, TEA OCC and Group Burden Test. 5th June I went in late supposed to be there at 10 got there late thankfully they said to still come in From London to Southampton I applied for Bournemouth vacancy as I'm planning to relocate. everything was fairly easy Paper Test, only 1 of us out of 9 got sent home. now ive got the 2nd Part computerised Test on 3rd July. Can someone Describe in fair detail on what it involves so I can have an idea of what to expect. so Far ive been using ProTrainDriverUK.

The WAFV Test with grey box which turns black I'm clicking my mouse at 350 milisecond (MS) is that enough time. I used that website and did the 30 minutes practice, my average was 380MS. just want to know if that is similar to the Test and is my Timing Okay.

The ATAVT Test I'm struggling on that mainly as I'm not seeing everyone I can only focus on 2-3 things feels too quick to identify everything. if anyone can share any advise, that would be very much appreciated.

Finally the 2Hand Coordination what is it like, can someone share what was displayed on the screen as well + if it was easy to use the toggle stick so far ive been using my Mouse and ASD button on my keyboard. mouse to move up and down and AD key to move sides way. Thanks Everyone

Hi guys, I just passed my DMI interview last week was very intense to be completely honest with you guys, had two driver mangers ask me around about 12 questions all together, if you are going for a DMI interview be well prepared and use the STAR technique as all questions I answered I used STAR which allowed me to pass, now I’m just waiting for the MMI interview, would anyone know how long till I get the interview and what questions are going to be asked, and how I should structure each question

Hey, congrats on passing your DMI interview! Just out of curiosity, how long did you wait for a date for the interview? I passed my computerised testing last month and I’m still waiting for a date for my DMI.

Looking for some advise please. One went up for Basingstoke yesterday and down already this morning so need to be quicker. There's one up for Bournemouth but I live too far away. What happens if you apply for one beyond an hour? Do they consider your application on the assumption you'd relocate if successful or can you only apply 1 hour from current address?

If I use Bournemouth to get my application in order does my account hold all info for future applications to make it quicker in future?

And I've been self employed for 20 years. Does anyone have experience of this in the application? It would take hours to input all the jobs over that time or do you say self employed without specific detail?

Thanks

They normally wont accept relocations for trainees, if its over the travel time your application will likely be binned tbh.

OK thanks, missed it anyway.

Is it possible to save all the application info on your profile or do you have to fill out the applications from scratch every time?

Second time unsuccessful at application stage. On my rejection emails it said "you'll need to wait six months before applying for the same rolle again". Does this mean I failed the online multi choice test or is it indicative of something else? The second application used my test result from the first. They were different locations each time, the second one was well within the hour, the first was touch and go.

Sorry to hear that mate. Was it 6 months between both application? That could be a possibility. I think you must of failed the online assessment on both occasions.
