They have not published the list of menus for all services since the December timetable change.
When I just tried the website does not appear to be showing menus as it has been doing on the journey planner.

However, based on the most recent full list I created for myself the 17:30 from York on weekdays (15:33 from London Kings Cross) should be the Dish menu.

There are no Signature menu services on weekends so both the Sunday services will be the Dish menu (minus the weekday only option).
The list was so helpful - hopefully they bring it back!

Regarding the website not showing these, I saw LNER post somewhere a refresh was happening this month. Maybe services after the refresh haven’t got the menu type attached yet.

Does the LNER website no longer show the menu options for various northbound / southbound journeys ?

What would the menu options be for these trips please ..

Sunday 7th June NCL - YRK (10:27 - 11:29)

Sunday 2nd August NCL - YRK (10:27 - 11:29)

Wednesday 10th June YRK - NCL (17:30 - 18:35)

thank you

You can see which menu is served by doing a dummy booking for a 1st class ticket through LNER. It shows the menu before you commit to buying the ticket.

Not at the moment... it just shows "Restaurant Car available for First Class passengers"

As LNER are not showing which menu is on each service at the moment if anyone is interested this is the full service list I put together earlier this year for myself. Note it uses the times from the December 2025 timetable change.

Thats strange as I have just tested various journeys on various dates and it still does not show any menus.

This is what shows for any journey (there is nothing in the Journey Info option):

Great service on 1E03 (0826 from Darlington to London) this morning. Drinks and food orders taken shortly after departure from Darlington and full LNER arrived shortly before arrival at York (not the fastest ever though, that was still a crew that took my order as we were pulling out of the platform at Darlington and served as we hit the points north of Northallerton ). They've been back around after every station call to take more food orders from new passengers as well as offer more drinks to everyone. Very good to see and one of those crews that really makes you think "Yes, this was expensive but worth it". I actually had to turn down the last offer of drinks as it was too much!

Full LNER was also very tasty as always. Reckon it's probably the best complimentary breakfast on the network these days. TfW's paid for breakfast might be better (though I've not had the opportunity to try it) but in terms of complimentary this is excellent.

Excellent service continued throughout. Drinks run before and after Peterborough for instance! Buffet only shut-up shop after Hitchin. Top quality crew on this service.

Definitely agree with this, after working through all the complimentary breakfasts on my recent All Line Rover the Full LNER is the most substantial and complete option although I do think the Avanti Great British Breakfast with toast is a close second.
I personally slightly prefer the TfW breakfast as it has everything, including toast which LNER does not do, but you do pay (a reasonable price in my opinion) extra for it.

The app now shows the meal being served (at least between London and Inverness).
Interesting for me that midweek it's now Signature in both directions. Weekends are Dish in each direction, I believe this is unchanged.

It was Signature previously - IIRC it was Dish for a while due to the need to hire another Inverness chef but this is long since resolved.

Usually the Inverness crew work the southbound down to Newcastle, have a break then work the northbound all the way back.

On the "Signature menu" they write that the "Smoky bean pasta" is available "Monday to Friday only, and on selected services". While there is not a single "Signature" train on weekends, kinda redundant.

Also seems kind of bizarre that they cannot offer the pasta on all signature services given they have a chef onboard as well as hosts. It's also kind of odd that the pasta is only on selected undisclosed services more generally.

Can't say the new menu tickles my fancy tbh. I'm going up to Scarborough in a couple of Sundays and looking to get first on Seatfrog, might just get a sandwich from KGX instead.

That tells me how long it's been since I used The Highland Chieftain!

It’s a semi regular thing that due to a staff shortage as far as Newcastle “the chef prepared meal will be replaced by an alternative” on the up service. Fridays seem particularly prone to this.

Do you know what the alternative ever was? I always assume it will be sandwiches from standard.
