My friend has been rejected via email but I still haven’t received anythingAnyone who did SHL assessment online for Cambridge did anyone heard back or not? I completed my one on 9-4-2026 but didn’t heard back anything.

October '25 - I'm still pending. Last had an email in Jan aying they'll be in touch shortly
I was at initial sift. I've applied and been rejected twice from XC. And also been rejected from a few other TOCs although I believe thebother to be commute based rejections. Im not sure exactly why the rejections as if I say so myself im pretty good at spatial reasoning after alot of practise and research. Ahh well will keep trying

Strange, Same time I applied for Birmingham and I'm going in for my dmi soon, have you done the shl tests?October '25 - I'm still pending. Last had an email in Jan aying they'll be in touch shortly

Not with CC, I've passed OPC stage 1 & 2 with Chiltern in the last year.

I would guess they have filled a certain quota for now then, if you passed shl then next step is psychometrics which obviously costs them money, makes sense they wouldn't instantly send everyone that passed shl on to the next stage at rcg as it would cost a fortune. Could be that you're in the next group to be called up if those at the dmi stage now fail and they need more people, as always with railway recruitment, no news is good news, you haven't been told a hard noYes I did, sorry, got mixed up then

From what I understood on my call, this round of psychometrics are running until middle of May so imagine you’ll hear after that if that’s the case
They aren't bad. As long as you put the effort in to practice them, they aren't as bad as you think. Paper tests were straight forward for me. The only ones I found challenging was 2 Hand due to the sensitivity of the joysticks and the MMI.How did you find them?

Just make sure you do plenty of practice and youll be sound mate

They told me I passed on the day and would hear back from XC. XC contacted me at the start of April inviting me for a DMI which I just completed yesterday. Hopefully it went well but they are running DMIs until tomorrow and will let candidates know the results at some point next week. I asked during the interview and they mentioned that Birmingham's talent pool had dried up and there was projected to be 3 training intakes over the rest of this year.Still no one heard anything from Birmingham

Any tips on DMI I did my SHL assessment on 16th March deadline have been told I have progressed. I completed psychometrics for another TOC in January this year and passed all enhanced so hoping I can jump straight to DMI (they were going to check)
The waiting is so hard as I want the job so badly as I am sure you all do!
If you hear back from recruitment can you double check the training intake please. I heard there was an August one and then several next year. It would be good to know if they have others this year. I did mine today and was told 3 - 4 weeks, hopefully your information is the correct version, I don't fancy waiting a monthwill let candidates know the results at some point next week.
