XC Voyager Refurbishment

To be fair, the toilet smell is very overstated, I very rarely noticed it even on the native XC fleet.

I think now it's just used as a stick to beat the Voyagers with.

XC Have posted on FB that it is to be revealed tomorrow, I'm looking forward to seeing it.

It'll be almost sad to see the end of the VT interior after 20+ years!

Assuming this is true, I'm not sure why I don't find it at all surprising!

If they're using the FISA Lean, surely the issue is with the grab handles (which are utterly useless anyway on those seats)

Understandable, Central Rivers staff will need to see the differences and get their heads around the new interiors.

Now, the next guessing gam will be which XC route will it enter service on first.

Oh dear, it’s never straightforward with XC. No trolley at all, trolley can’t get through because there’s too many people on board, now the trolley can’t get through because there are too many large grab handles on board.

Glad they’re finally getting somewhere, looking forward to trying the downgraded seats soon!

They don’t seem to bother walking through with it anyway, these days. They park up in the Coach F galley and just tell people to come to them.

Mainly because they can't get down the train, because of standees. But you know, I had that a few times on Cross Country. Had the trolley come down, I would have bought something. But how many people are going to leave their seat, and belongings and look, go search for a trolley, who may or may not be able to accept cash or card (yep, had both)....It conveys "I don't really want your business".

First time the interiors had a makeover since virgin so I’m pretty happy

And celebrating a spruce up of a high emissions train that first entered service 25 years ago, is going to get questions of what is there to celebrate, it's not new, it's not revolutionary.

Ultimately it's just a cleaner, patched up older train.
