congrats to everyone who has a course date, at least you know some thing, i still haven't had any response since April this year, so not looking good for me, i don't think

I Know 2 people who got jobs who applied when the October 2022 vacancy’s popped up. Not sure if they were only up for a day?

Then I applied amongst the 10,000 or so others in Feb 2023 and know people in the talent pool and who got half way through the tests before getting the ‘we have enough people at further stages now’ email.

Yeah, they were up for only a single day, and only for Euston, Manchester and Liverpool, although I recall the former two apparently going back up at some point the next day. By now I had thought many of those candidates had been sifted through but apparently there are still some left waiting. As someone else mentioned upthread, Liverpool in particular already seems to have sufficient drivers available most days anyway.

Never say never, but given they've still got candidates from years ago to sift through I wouldn't put too many eggs in that one basket. The best that one can hope for is possible Preston trainees because they're looking for mentors there right now, but even that isn't a given, and this isn't really the place to speculate.
