These are from a while ago:

Asked GPT to generate a refurbed 168 at Marylebone…
IMG_0026.png

Then told it that it needs contrasting doors…
IMG_0027.png

Then told it the livery was completely wrong…IMG_0029.png

Interesting the whole time it did a unit that hasn’t yet been touched by refurb!

When my free goes ran out, I tried one of those random ones and asked for a mk5 set in silver Chiltern (or should I say “CILEMEN” livery at Wycombe (the blue stripes thing hadn’t been done yet). It’s ermmm………… interesting

I bet Lynda Carter never suffered from excessive chest-hair, during her Wonder Woman performances 50 years ago.
I fear the children are concerned their slowly balding friend is lost in there.

I think this was cut from the actual Wonder Woman show:

Her super-powers clearly don't extend to taking the previous left turn for the station. At this rate, she'll run from the White House to Whitchurch.

It is clear why she was in such a rush, pint in The Chariot

(Obviously the chain has not reached D C yet)

Did she also put a couple in the net for North End? ;)
Certainly need her to.

For all the budding AI people, this is what happens when road alignment goes wrong:

Gemini_Generated_Image_ohsppsohsppsohsp.png

I am genuinely impressed at the ability of both ChatGPT and Gemini to put a class 150 going over a bridge into photos. Sadly in this last case ChatGPT built the line through the building and then got the roads all wrong.

If anyone has not seen the pictures, check out pink Birmingham here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c8j30kx1vk3o

As rare snowfall blanketed much of the West Midlands on Thursday evening, residents were struck by an unexpected sight: a mysterious pink glow lighting up the sky.

There was much speculation on social media as to whether the phenomenon was an unusually vivid sunset. Or was it the Northern Lights making a surprise appearance?

The truth was far more down-to-earth.

It turns out the source of the display were simple pink LED lights being used on the pitch at Birmingham City's football ground, the club has confirmed.

Before you think we've lost the plot on the Realistic AI railway images thread, :D.we do also try creating proper AI images.
This little lot - taken from the other thread - was created this month and merely with a descriptive written prompt into an AI "engine".

I throughly recommend losing the plot though.

Google Gemini is free and lets you make a few (5?) images per day. Sometimes you get to the limit without it perfecting the image, but usually you can get what you want.

The only problem is that it is highly addictive. I asked Gemini to change the sport in my most recent realistic photo to tennis but have the players with pasties for rackets. I asked for a birthday cake in the foreground. I said do not change the railway or the 197 bar. The result:

Good to see the 197 Bar's aspirations have expanded beyond Deepdale ;)

I concur with Topological - that this is wonderfully addictive (my wife disagrees on "wonderfully" - she says "annoyingly").
I, too, use Google Gemini 3; and I upped my daily image-limit to 100 via a month's free trial of the Pro version (December), then three months' subscription at reduced fee of £5.99 pcm.
Pro subscription normal price is £18.99 pcm; I don't use Pro's full AI suite to justify paying that. So, I'll revert to very limited free usage from April.

Finally, a big shout-out to three Forumazzi instrunental to the Realistic AI Railway Images thread:
@Cowley for championing its concept and aims, when I first conceived a thread for it, mid-2025.
@Topological who not only set 2026 on fire with the brilliant theme (post 580 of this thread has info; the link is below); but whose commentary and images often leave me in stitches.
@Iskra whose many images to this month's theme, has given real impetus to that thread - and so proves there are a few of us bonkers enough!

Just imagine if Eurostar wrapped one of its trains in mirror-reflective vinyls.

A pedant might wonder why the station has again been imagined as a through station, but I guess this is the Mad-AI-Generated thread.

I am unsure about the latest product strapline for Wonder Woman Pasties, though. Burger King's "Have it Your Way" was presumably the inspiration, and "My Pasties Your Way" was ruled out in the process.

Quite what those arriving from Mainland Europe make of the culinary delights that greet them is anyone's guess. Perhaps a pasty and a Trappist Ale, or glass of Bordeaux is all the rage with the EU youth.

This view's perspective - bufferstops and concourse behind this viewpoint, EMR platforms off to the left ahead where the canooy extends beyond the MR's overall roof - is pretty close to how I recall it.
My guess is our Chinese visitors will head to the Undercroft - for a baijiu-glazed pasty, or to the delights of the champagne bar. Either way: "why start your day sober?" ;)

It's a deliberable corruption of 2015's My Choice social awareness campaign, designed to champion women's empowerment and bodily autonomy. Appropriate, n'est pas? :D

My eye was just thinking it saw a lot of line in the reflection on the front of the train. Possibly the driver got distratcted and stopped well short of the buffer stops. Certainly, you can get more carriages under the roof at St Pancras than there are in that image. St Pancras was my London station as a child/teen.

I am not sure what my advertising knowledge reveals, except perhaps a general lack of social awareness.

I am curious to see the baijiu glazed pasty, though have experienced pasties viewed with glazed eyes from baijiu.

Veering momentarily completely OT. Spoiler alert: this post contains no railway content

The idyllic rural life in the tranquil hamlet Lifeless-on-Baijiu, is shattered upon the arrival of newly-elected Labour MP, Randy Chomondeley-Mytholmroyd, in his shiny De Tomaso Pantera. Proving that massaging ones expenses does pay
His elderly father - labour by trade and by political leaning - is clearly nonplussed at his son's dabble with capitalism. Thus a quick tap of those tongs, on that mirror vinyl-wrap, will cool down young Randy.

No doubt young Randy will take that off to Monaco and convince himself that the young ladies on the strip are picturing themselves in his car.

You say that there is no railway involvement, but the plan to restore rail services to Lifeless-on-Baijiu met with opposition. Not worried about the potential opposition Boris pressed on accordingly. Presumably that drove this Conservative looking village to switch sides.

I sometimes wonder what the railway world would look like, if UK locomotives or rolling stock were exported more widely. Not just 126 vehicles to Liberia, Mk2 aircons to New Zealand, Nightstar stock to Canada, Kestrel to Russia, or the myriad of locos to Spain / Hungary / Bulgaria / France.

How about familiar warbles/thrash up California's formidable Tehachapi Pass?
July 4th this year is 250th Anniversary of USA Independence, so of course a livery is due!
@Topological I bet a TfW Sprinter wouldn't make it to the summit ;)

There are, of course, some things Britain probably couldn't export even if it tried to.
Santa Fe's economy measures wouldn't have extended to a rash purchase of sickly smoking Metro Cammells...

Actually, they're up to 250 (1776 + 250 = 2026).
Oh lordy, :D you know of that moment when, after years of looking at 1976's liveried US locos and remembering 1976s celebrations - and then one's brain-fog completely forgets we're fifty years farther on. Previous post duly amended.

Whilst traveling in America, I discovered something entirely unknown. The pilgrims were not the only export to America from the South West of England.

When wtiting detailed descriptions for my AI railway images, I marvel how, mostly, the things appear in the right places relative to each other.
I say "mostly" - because, when the algorithms get it wrong, the results can look hilarious. The class 60's "not Railfreight livery" and the class 91's wrong-end pantograph, aren't the biggest errors...

Linked here, is how it was meant to come out!

This is incredibly mixed up. In fact, it's a pastiche!
