On an empty first class of 1W11. Quite impressed to get a coffee at Abergavenny. Going to be curious to see how many get on by Manchester.
Would have had the front carriage to myself as well had the first-class advance not been cheaper than the standard.
Happy I did get 1W11 as 1W12 seems to be running as 3-car instead of 5 today.
By Crewe there were 3 other people in 1st. Though no service of anything. More got on at Wilmslow and Stockport but seemed to just be taking the chance to sit down. I now wonder if the higher numbers that arrive on the 14:53 from Cardiff are similar.
