It may not be that easy just to switch destination as the leasing company has a contract with the scrappie to supply a certain number of coaches or indeed a certain fleet, hence one 507 and one 365 being sent to Sims before being retrieved for preservation. One party or the other would have to agree to exit from the contract before they could start selling the units to another scrappie. This might be the obvious way forward, but it will take time to arrange and Sims (although "in trouble") may not want to be released from any contract.I wonder if they'll start sending 455's to Kingsbury EMR or Booth's considering the current financial situation of Newport and the backlog of 455's that need to be disposed of.
Maybe even Willesden EMR as I know that has a disused rail connection into it.

Given that the 455s are now in terminal rundown, what parts are likely still needed? Or is there a lot of parts commonality with Cl 150s, Cl 318s and Cl 320s?
Doors, brakes and windows are similar on the class 150s and 318s. The brakes certainly sound the same. Whereas the class 320s sound different. The 150s have old school brake blocks rather than disc brakes.
That makes sense but I've never seen withdrawn stock be stored at Litchurch lane. You would think they would move it somewhere closer to Newport if they were going to send it to scrap there , and if they were going for storage Porterbrook would probably send them to Long Marston.
As mentioned previously on this thread, just input the number you want on Saturday morning on RTT (or whatever) and see if it's in service. There aren't many 455's now. I have looked to see where they finish on a Friday night which allows me to make an educated guess

Hi, 5Q57 is a common headcode around Derby for the movement of barrier vehicles back to the RTC or Litchurch Lane, so it might well be positioning vehicles back for a further move. Best wishes, Phil

Pretty sure half of one unit was scrapped at Booths Rotherham, might have been 5725. But that went by road.
When was 5849 last in service? Seems like a recent withdrawal.
5849 was last in passenger service 10.11.25 and 5750 was 20.10.25
