The 455 pair being replaced looks to be the Guildford to Guildford Up diagram starting 2F06. Where there is choice planners will likely opt for the busier services to be 701s, but this close to the end of 455s there might not be many options. Earlier on in the rollout there was more targeting of the busiest services to switch over sooner. This alteration does look to be both operationally convenient (avoiding a 701 stabling at Guildford) and puts a 10-car on one of the busiest 8-car Readings.

Does happen from time to time if a problem is realised once the loco is on site. No drags published for next week yet, though weren't any published this far in advance for this week either.

The loco seems to have departed Marchwood 23:37 last night back to Eastleigh, but without a 701 unit

Didn't have any allocations for that day according to my records from the allocations feed, ended up at Wimbledon Park after Wednesday night.

The loco went back to Leicester on the day as planned. Real time trains doesn't show a schedule, but it's likely the loco returned to Eastleigh East Yard earlier in the day and then moved north in the planned path.

RTT shows that 1R11 ran, and now ruurning ECS to Waterloo. Would I be correct in guessing there's a rugby match at twickenham today?

I can imagine they are fairly regular 701 moves, particularly to/from Clapham Yard.

It might indicate moves to make space available for a delivery from Long Marston etc.
Especially as the 455 scrap move today was cancelled (both of them !!!).

There are three entries for a Derby RTC to Wimbledon Park light loco tomorrow afternoon - evening.
Bet some/all of these are "cancelled" but one of them could be a light loco for a resurrected 455 scrap move.

Was nearly all 27 planned diagrams as well, 012 was in the platforms at Waterloo this morning but its diagram got cancelled due a train fault.

5Q moves between Clapham Yard, Wimbledon Park Depot and Farnham CSD are normally 701s that haven't seen passenger service (or 701028). Ones between Clapham and Wimbledon or vice versa frequently don't appear on the allocations feed.

The light loco is ROG operated so would be 455 scrap related. Unsure if the ROG loco that arrived on Saturday ever actually left Wimbledon Park though so that one might not run.

The GBRF operated Long Marston move is published for Wednesday this week, timings look similar to previous weeks

Yesterday's record outing should include at least -0.5 for the planning fail with 2D51 17:39 WAT-GLD, where the driver that eventually reached the platform had to announce to a well loaded train that he wasn't 'licensed' to drive it (that was the PA announcement according to a friend). Accepting mistakes happen but for a service which has been scheduled as a 701 for months, this does seem like a self inflicted shooting in both feet.

The subsequent service 2D53 (unit 048) then faulted at Ashtead for 20 minutes, luckily being recovered by the driver it seems.

It's makes me long for the 455s to come back some days.
