But the core thing here is that a set is formed of vehicles, not units. When looking at some other systems that I have access to, the 153 numbers in those AT sets are just missing now. It may well be that the vehicles that comprise those sets still have some reference back to their original 153 numbers but I don't think that those numbers are actually trustworthy now
The vehicle numbers in the AT sets last 3 digits do all match their former 153 set number.
In all internal systems, those 153s no longer exist either but the vehicle numbers do accurately show which each vehicle was originally.

The Trainmapper app will happily tell you what AT sets are allocated today, and show them on its map. I suppose you just have to be aware that it might be wrong for the reasons that Tom has outlined above.

Edit: I understand that RTT+ gives the same info.

Rail Record provides carriage numbers as a feature of the subscription offer. The website is easy to use and being browser based it’s more flexible than an app.

TrainSplit for Android also offers this, free of charge.

Enable detailed mode in the app's settings, then just tap and hold on the carriage image when viewing a service in "Live times".

Should also be appearing in the paid version of traksy at some point this week. Looking at the data I'm not convinced it's great quality, but I guess it's worth putting it out there

Very pleasantly surprised to find that Southern/GatEx/Thameslink allocations are now on RTT. Anyone know the actual date they were first shown on RTT, please?

Seems something might have gone wrong on RTT+. I've gone back to 25th June 2025 as I need some unit data from Crewe eg VT(Avanti) and this is what I'm getting.

There's a glitch with the history server at the moment that we're in the process of resolving which is just affecting a couple of consecutive dates in mid June.

Ahh, thanks for the rapid reply Tom. Hopefully it can be resolved. Nice to see TfW 153 (AT Sets) now show makes it a lot easier to track them down :D.

I like that the SE 377s show the correct liveries too!

There are some Northern 156s that still show incorrectly in EMR colours. 156401 and 156415 I believe.
