Does anyone know where 48124 to 48127 will end up. Apparently they are in reserve and being painted. Are they being swapped for the MCVs from East Scotland. MTIA

I think its more likely the X74 will have outpost in Dumfries and will be operated by Carlisle depot.

In BETTER NEWS the strike is over:

Service update - Wednesday 18 June 202517 Jun 2025

Following further discussions, our drivers will return to work tomorrow, Wednesday 18 June and will ballot on a pay deal on Friday 20 June.
  • Full service will resume in Ardrossan, Arran, and Kilmarnock.
  • In Ayr, all routes will operate, but with a reduced frequency – times to be confirmed, please check here in the morning for the latest updates.
  • Cumbernauld and Dumfries & Galloway will continue with no changes.
We’re working hard to get all services operating to schedule and appreciate your patience and understanding.
Do not think Carlisle is having anything to do with the X74, only 79

Why did the other changes in Ayrshire not happen and be reverted back in recent notice ano proceedings?
Being synical and thinking more cost cutting following pay deal

Tonight is the last night of Stagecoach operations from Stranraer, Dumfries and Whithorn depots. Only a few Stagecoach buses based at Dumfries and Stranraer as outstations of Cumbernauld and Ayr. Let’s hope the changeover to the new operators goes well and passengers aren’t left stranded.

Stagecoach has called D&G council bluff and the council has lost. Most of the commercial bus route replacements being offered by other operators are worse, how can anyone say it's an improvement. This whole exercise has been a shambles from the start. As many have pointed out a change during the week, other compaines submitting new short notice registration just this week etc etc.

Will the depots now be downgraded as outstations or will the outstations be at new sites ?

Anyone know what’s happening with the last ALX400 (18334)?
Because it had its ticket machine in an E200 a few weeks ago, but is the ALX400 going to be preserved?

Does anyone know what seems to be happening with the streetlites on Arran that are being replaced? Will be be kept in West Scotland?

Also for the last few weeks ive seen Ardrossan buses running the 14 most days? And some of those ayr buses on the 18 mostly?

Most notably it always seems to be 37249-52 that are constantly inbetween the 2 depots, with usually Ardrossans solos and e300 going the other way?

The E200s are Ardrossan's buses that's why they do the 14

When the Ardrossan take over the running of the 14?
The 14 moved back to Ardrossan at the last network change.

The Streetlites on Arran belong to SPT, so wherever they end up, will be their decision.

What will happen to 10513 & 10521 then?

Will they be sent back to the Cumbernauld depot to be swapped over for 10918, 10919, and/or 10932? Will they be sent to another depot like Ayr? Or will they be kept for the X36?

What I heard last was they were keeping those two as well as the Scania decker's.

Cumbernauld frequently sending deckers on the X74, Painfully slow on the M74 with them being restricted to 50mph, everything overtaking you at that speed

Had a feeling that wouldn't be long till it happened. Truly terrible state of affairs. The service will no doubt suffer as a result and people will stop using it. That's probably what they wanted.

Cumbernauld have one double decker allocated to the x74.it mostly acts as a spare for that route and most days it doesn't even get used
