On the Gold/80 wasn't the cutting short at Paignton meant to be temporary during the bridge closure a few years ago?

So there are new timetables available on Stagecoach's website across the region. Some odd anomalies around Plymouth. The 80, previously Gold, is now improved to run on a 30-minute clockface frequency during the day, although there are some much longer gaps in peak hours, eg Paignton departures 06.30 to 07.20 and 16.40 to 17.30.

On the other hand the 1 from Plymouth to Tavistock has gone from a straight 20-minutes frequency to 7 buses every 150 minutes with a normal-ish set of gaps of 20-20-15-15-20-20-30. This is only one fewer journey every 5 hours but at the cost of being very complicated and totally un-memorable. The 30 gaps almost suggest they are inviting someone else to pay for another bus to be added top the cycle. There are 7 buses under the existing and new timetables but the round trip is now 150 minutes instead of 140. The service is sort-of co-ordinated with the 1A between Plymouth, Derriford and the George P&R but the 1A is also rather random and gaps from Plymouth vary between 4 minutes and 20 minutes! The journey times don't vary with each journey like First's AI timetables but it looks like someone told to devise a timetable with 7 buses (daytime on each of the 1 and 1A) and this is what we get. This is all just described as minor timing changes to improve reliability and punctuality. The Plymouth 2 seems to have suffered in a similar way. Not conducive to being remembered and therefore likely to lose passengers!

The Tavistock bus inbound to Plymouth is no longer going via the railway station either - so much for integrated transport.

E300s 27631 and 27699 have also arrived. Supposed to be 36 transfers this month.

27632 and 19104 are also due.

Many of the transfers are coming from West Scotland with the closure of Stagecoach Stranraer and Dumfries depots after today......

I hope any enviro400s we get are a bit more powerful than the mx08s - they are diabolically slow up hills!

27631/2 must have (over the course of several moves through their lives) done the widest amount of travelling - including the length of the Stagecoach UK empire?!
New to Highlands, a spell in London for the Olympics/Paralympics in 2012 and now, via North East, finishing up with South West.

Someone needs to take them on a tour to Lands End to say they've covered the entire length of the country!!

Maybe it will find its way on to the CC1. That goes to St Just so almost there!

I've noticed that Stagecoach South West still have ALX400s and Optare Solos and a couple of Dennis Darts. I'm going to Torquay in a few weeks and my local route will be the 12 so hoping to get an ALX400 on that route.

You'll be in luck. Most are usually out every day. Most likely you'll find them on the 22 and 13 though.

I cannot believe the 04 plates still haunt the area. Some are really on their last legs but they seem to be extraordinarily reliable.

It'll probably either be an E400 MMC or an E400 on the 12 as that's what seems to be allocated.

Pretty much the entire Torbay fleet will be will be replaced this coming year when the ZEBRA 2 funded EV fleet arrives, so the elderly Tridents and Solos won't have long left.

Travelled on one of the new Solos recently on the 173 up to Chagford, must say I was impressed by them. Onboard announcements, USB Chargers and reupholstered seats. Although the announcements did go off a few times announcing the same stop again and again whilst waiting at a four-way(!) temporary traffic light junction near Redhills. A nice improvement for the route.

The 6 between Okehampton and Bude seems to be as popular as ever, using it on Friday and it was almost full on the 12:10 departure off Bude, especially after picking up people in Holsworthy. I do find the luggage storage on the buses used for the routes to be poor, considering that a lot of people are connecting onto trains at Okehampton Station, lots of people have luggage and there's only a tiny space to put it all. I imagine this is caused by vehicles used on the 6 also being used on other routes on other days from Barnstaple. I do wish the route was more frequent (used to be every 2 hours instead of every 3) but understand that this adds complexities regarding an extra vehicle being needed and Long layovers at either side of the route.

Also managed to hop on one of Barnstaple's repainted ADL400s, which now wears the "We've Got You" livery. Seeing the livery in real life does make it seem more like a dark blue rather than black.

For some reason, the Transport for Cornwall website doesn't include timetables for Stagecoach services. For instance, the 6 (Bude-Okehampton) is nowhere to be seen, as a result, journey planner suggests going via Launceston if doing that journey, and if going from Bude to Holsworthy, it suggests taking the 217. This also applies to Stagecoach's 85 which serves Launceston.

27 buses are on their way down to Devon from West Scotland today.

The buses in question are:
27813-6/885
36140/1/3/5/52/332/704/5/745
37247/248
47839/40/1/5/6

That adds up to 21. Not sure about the other 6. There are gaps in the numbers mentioned above but they could be going elsewhere.

Could these be for the addition services they have picked up in Plymouth and Cornwall from September?

Probably but I thought we were getting 10917-932. Apparently not now. I reckon the 5 optares will displace the 04 plates. The E300s will probably be allocated to Exeter as well, like the other 3 that came recently.

10673-10684 are still surplus from East Scotland and I was told these would be the decker moves for these contracts.

As I understand it, more vehicles than listed are due to depart West Scotland. Which division they end up at I’m not sure.

I can add 47844 to this list as well

I think it's been said that no coaches are coming. Don't quote me though. Just going off of what drivers have said on Facebook.
In that case there’s only some MAN E300’s left from Dumfries/Stranraer that could move. There’s only Solo’s left that were SWestrans buses. Unless West Scotland are planning to shuffle things about of course, but in terms of direct transfers from the withdrawn areas, that’d be about it.

Latest Stagecoach SW fleetcard still has 10917-9/21-4/6 listed as planned transfers in. (10926 listed twice so I suspect 10927 also expected)

How come 10920 was selected to transfer to East Scotland?
10906 and 10920 moved to East Scotland to trial double deckers on the Jet 747. They both have luggage racks fitted. A pair of E400EV’s arrived this year to replace these and some Single Deck BZL’s are due to replace the 6 E200mmc’s currently used alongside them. Believe plan is to keep both and use them elsewhere within the division.

Thank you. Am I correct in saying 925 caught fire?
