1W61 now showing as set 6 again from Crewe to prevent overload. Not sure if loco is the same.Too many sets at Crewe again tonight so looks like W65 will be a cart to balance.

Certainly not no haha. 67017 HD06 out at 17:30ish today I've been told.Yes ! Although I don’t think it’s your cleaning
HD06 has an air-conditioning fault so not going out now.HD06 on V33 set off a trackside detector so was held by the signaller as a result, its been tested on depot during the course of the day and been able to be released.
As a result almost every diagram is now planned to swap at some point tomorrow to get things back where they should be. Some overnight loco swaps too.
Plan for tomorrow looks like:
67015+HD01 1W13 1V37 midday loco change planned
67020+HD01 1W63 Set then stops for B exam.
67022+HD02 1V33 1W57 1V46 1W65 set then stops for a Z (minor) exam.
67025+HD03 1V31 1W55 1V42 1W96
67014+HD04 Stopped for exam
HD05 No loco- Stopped
67017+HD06- 1W11 full diagram
67016+HD07 1V91 1W61 1V62.
With HD01, 02 and 04 all on exam over the weekend one diagram at least will be a unit. The delay in stopping 04 due to multiple failures and sets being in the wrong place last week has knocked things out. 2 sets and several locos were given exams in the downtime of the Marches block but its still affecting other rakes.
Dear old Heaton Chapel WILD. That one has a history of spurious activations causing perfectly fit trains to be taken out of service as there's no process for the findings to be ignored - the stock has to be examined and pulled out of service regardless. I once got stranded with a 158 at New Mills South Jn and then Chinley after the WILD gave a reading akin to a loaded 100 tonne wagon with 50p wheels whilst I was travelling in the coach in question and it took some negotiation to even allow the train to run at reduced speed empty stock to Sheffield station sidings having booted out the passengers at Chinley, all for a spurious activation.HD06 on V33 set off a trackside detector so was held by the signaller as a result, its been tested on depot during the course of the day and been able to be released.

HD01 will stay out an extra day and stop for its exam on Sunday to enable all Diagrams to run tomorrow. HD07 is out of service all day but should be back tomorrow.
Saturday should see 67020+HD01 and 67014+HD04 working out of Crewe whilst 67017+HD06 and 67016+HD07 are planned out of Cardiff.
Sunday is planned for 67014+HD04 working from Cardiff and 67029+HD05 working from Crewe.

They're being fitted to sets, makes far more sense than the random collection of ex GC or LNER and strange TfW branding from before. This caught my eye this morning when I looked at my video of 5W56, it seems they've added actual coach numbers to the sets with a TfW colour scheme, which I'm all for and it's a nice touch. (This is set HD04)
Is the fire at the old pit prop yard?....if so, it won't by any means be the first one there!Lineside fire at Marshfield (between Newport and Cardiff). Job stopped. 1V70 67029 stuck, and just announced as not calling west of Cardiff. It's unclear whether we are going to go forward to Cardiff once the fire is under control, or reverse back to Newport and terminate
Not quite the day out I had planned...
I don't know, but it's a big job, stopping all lines. Lots of smoke. 1V70 reversed to Newport and terminated. Rail replacement buses in operation Newport - Cardiff. Is the fire at the old pit prop yard?....if so, it won't by any means be the first one there!
Should be full 5 sets, HD02/03/04/06/07 in service with HD05 as spare. What ends up where and goes onto its Planned diagram will depend where the 2 sets end up tonight with Newport-Cardiff currently closed.Afternoon
What is the plan for tomorrow please ?
Thank you
Dave
