I’ve been hearing mixed things regarding this. Was it all situation based questions you were asked ie name a time when…? Feels like all the research I’ve done has been pointless from what I’m hearing.I had mine less than a month ago and was asked nothing about any of that stuff really, was all just standard interview questions with a few scenarios and how I would deal with them

I can’t remember the exact questions but it was stuff generic interview questions with a few scenario questions. I think one of the question was how would you deal with a train that has suddenly stopped in the middle of a track. Another one I remember was describe a time you’ve dealt with a setback and how you bounced back to produce a positive result.I’ve been hearing mixed things regarding this. I spent a decent amount of time researching ScotRail, different routes, latest news etc and not one thing about any that was mentioned.

Doesn't have to be 100% correct but something just to give me an idea. How long is a shift? How many rest days do they get? Do they get to return home after each shift? Or are there times they would need to sleep over at hotels cus their next shift is returning from where they ended their last shift? Etc
I'd appreciate as much info as possible. Thanks.

To answer your question, there were no interviews on the first assessment day, and it's basically just the test that they'll indicate on the invite email sent to you. I believe it's usually the TEA OC (part 1 and 2), Group Bourdon, and Trainability for rules and procedures (Part 1 and 2).
Think I was at the same mmi as you, on the 6th Feb I've got my medical middle of march. How did you get on with yours? What was involvedJust got my medical date for this Tuesday, hopefully all going well I’ll be at the same induction

Medical was pretty straight forward mate. Eyesight, hearing test, ecg, urine test, and then height and weight taken. Was in and out pretty quickly and no dramas. When was your medical? Mine was at start of the month, still not heard anything.Medical was pretty straight forward mate. Eyesight, hearing test, ecg, urine test, and then height and weight taken. Was in and out pretty quickly and no dramas. Just need to wait for the lab results of urine test to come back which will be fine. Hopefully hear soon!
