Pride Rolling Stock

Hey everyone! So I've a few questions about the Pride trains, and I figured that this would be the best place to ask!


1) is there a definitive list of Pride-liveried trains and their numbers?



2) which station is *served* by the greatest number of these sets?



3) which station can you spot the greatest number of these from? (In theory and in practice can be different)



4) (more for fun,) which pride livery is best?

Avanti’s 390119 “Progress” is my favourite as it’s a full length, effort that fits well with the shape of the train and Avanti’s branding/image.
GWR have a more subdued effort on 800008 that fits well with their colour scheme.
I vaguely recall some promotional vinyls for the Elizabeth Line, but I may be misremembering.
As for the best station for spotting, the geographic spread of the operators sporting this livery would make that a bit tricky.

Birmingham New Street would probably get the most variants of Pride liveries I reckon as you'll get the 2 Cross Country units and the Avanti Pendolino. I think there's a London Midland unit with a Pride livery. If so, you could get that too.

EMR 158773 and, more recently, 170501 are in a pride livery - albeit relatively low key compared to some of the other efforts around the network!

Not sure there’s a definitive list anywhere, but googling the TOC and “pride livery” pulls up quite a few.

The Elizabeth Line one always gives me a little chuckle as due to the way the vinyls have been applied one side reads "Every Tory Matters". The S ahead of story being difficult to make out.

I won't mention the one character who is slightly phallus looking due to the way they have been stuck between windows and their head/hair shape.

There is also LNER's 801226, which has the normally red window line replaced with rainbow.

Peterborough is served by LNER's 801226, EMR's 158773 and 170501, GTR Thameslink's 700155 and also served by GA's Pride 755 and the XC Pride 170. It's also passed through by Lumo's Pride 803.

South Western Railway has 444019. It has worn three variants.

1. South West Trains (SWT) white livery with Pride flag applied in place of the swoops
2. South Western Railway (SWR) livery with Pride flag in shape of old SWT swoops
3. South Western Railway (SWR) livery with Intersex Inclusive Pride flag ahead of SWR logo in Pride colours over the windows

I've seen this at stations between Basingstoke and Bournemouth before alongside CrossCountry's 222005

GBRf's 66773 'Pride of GB Railfreight' isn't a too uncommon visitor to the Basingstoke to Eastleigh stretch on its way to/from Eastleigh yard, but I'm not sure that could really be counted as a regular!

Stratford gets 345055, 378205, 720506 and DLR 64 regularly, plus 357318 and 755421 infrequently. 66773 could conceivably appear there on a freight working too.

Edinburgh gets 220005, 334006, 390119, 801226, 802213 and 803003 regularly, whilst 66773 could conceivably appear on the Sleeper.

A decent set of delays at PBO where I saw all of these except the 170s was the inspiration for this post!

I will add Stratford to my list! I often go via Peterborough, but going via Stratford International more often could eventually add 395012 to my list as well!

Works for me in Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Bing, Thorium, Waterfox and Pale Moon (these two are Firefox forks, each connecting via a Tor proxy! plus Tor browser itself)

I had (wrongly) assumed it was intended to be a snapshot, rather than an exhaustive list of every pride train ever, but yep makes sense in that case. EMR could do with an update for the 170.

Also DR75010 has the same flag on it.

A very discrete one - but 90014 is named ‘Over the Rainbow’ and has a Rainbow plate below the name. Definitely not obvious as some others though.
Wonder if 378205 is the only unit in a fully pride livery - as in the whole unit is specially coloured? It might be the most colourful.

Avanti's 390119 is a full pride livery.
