Expect it'll be one of the non-platform tracks between 15 and 16.

Edit: MS = middle siding, probably.
Ah - a good call, I had been trying to figure out something like that.
Middle Siding 2. One of the two former run-round loops between platforms 15 and 16.
I went and had a look and it was on platform 13.
Obviously very likely a "platform change".
Probably easier boarding that train than one on any of the actual platforms, knowing Euston ;)
Ha, very good point, so very near to true.
BUT
True to form they changed the "platform" anyway .

I can confirm some 807s are taking over from 805s in service. Earlier this morning at Watford Junction I saw 807004 and an unidentifiable 807 running 9G08 EUS-BHM and 1B25 BHM-EUS respectively.

Yep, I've been on 807004 today. They still have Standard Premium in the composite coach, with TMs offering upgrades. Considering this is a booked 805 working, I think it's safe to say that Standard Premium is in fact being offered on these permanently, definitely a good move in my eyes.

The first class seats have additional magnets for Antimacassars vice the 805s (which have two, but they're too far apart for the SP antimacassars, whereas the 807s have four magnets, two like the 805, and two which are closer together and higher up).

Can confirm 807004 was on 1R00. It's currently on platform 6 at Euston for the 07:43 Liverpool

Generally running behind time on most legs, difficult to tell how much this is because of speed limitations (110mph max).
1F12 was delayed into Liverpool by late running Northern and TPE trains coming off the CLC at Parkway.

Avanti has issued press release regarding introduction of 807

More services between Liverpool and London as Avanti West Coast launches its new Class 807 Evero train.
  • New Evero class 807 launch heralds more services on London to Liverpool route
  • More trains set to be rolled out as part of the £350m investment in the Avanti West Coast fleet
  • New fleet will help deliver more seats with plans for more services later this year
Avanti West Coast’s £350m investment in its new Evero fleet reached an important milestone today with their first run in service on the Liverpool to London route.

Evero 807001 departed Liverpool Lime Street at 0901, returning later in the day, to supplement the current hourly service. These additional weekday departures are part of Avanti West Coast’s plans to run more services between Liverpool and the capital
As well as Liverpool, the new seven carriage trains, each having 451 seats, will also run between London, the West Midlands and Blackpool, with further increases planned as part of next month’s timetable uplift.

This follows the inaugural Class 807 passenger service between London and Birmingham last month, building on the successful launch of its Class 805 Evero stablemate, which recently celebrated 150 days in service on the West Midlands, Chester and North Wales routes.

Maintained at Alstom’s Oxley depot in the West Midlands, the 23 strong Evero fleet includes the 10 electric Class 807s as well as the 13 bi-mode Class 805s which are replacing the Voyager trains – offering a greener alternative. They will work alongside the Pendolino trains, which have recently undergone the largest ever fleet upgrade in the UK thanks to a £117m investment.

Built by Hitachi at its factory in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, the Evero fleet is quieter and roomier than its predecessor. Customer benefits include wireless charging for electrical devices, improved Wi-Fi, more seats than the trains they replace and greater legroom thanks to a more ergonomic design, larger luggage racks and more real-time customer information screens which are easier to read.

The new trains also feature improved wheelchair spaces with contrasting carpet and a large accessibility symbol, so customers do not place their luggage in this space. There will be improvements to the accessible toilets compared to the previous fleet as well as Braille and large print labels on seats.

Avanti West Coast managing director Andy Mellors said: “The introduction of the Class 807 Evero on our network marks a significant milestone. The feedback from our people and customers about our new fleet has so far been fantastic and it’s created a real buzz about our services. I’m confident these new trains will provide a significant step change in comfort and a much greener way to travel.

“The challenge we have is to now build on this excitement, which coupled with our recent upturn in performance and plans to run more services, will improve connectivity to the regions we serve and encourage more people to opt for rail.”

Steve Rotheram, Mayor of the Liverpool City Region, said: “The launch of the first fully electric Evero service between Liverpool and London is a landmark moment for our region.
“The £350 million investment in greener, more comfortable trains is not only a step towards a more sustainable future, but also a huge boost for connectivity and the local economy.
“Here in the Liverpool City Region, we know all about how important good-quality trains are, so it’s exciting to see this new fleet offering people more options for travel. The new service will not only make it easier for people to travel between Liverpool and the capital, but it supports our efforts to make the Liverpool City Region a thriving, green economy.
“I’m excited to see how this will contribute to a more sustainable transport network and help to connect communities across the country.”

Paul Cherpeau, Chief Executive of Liverpool Chamber of Commerce C.I.C added: “The enhanced quality and improved frequency of services between Liverpool and London will really benefit businesses and the economy in the Liverpool City Region. We are particularly pleased that the city’s call to improve the frequency of services has been listened to and acted upon by Avanti West Coast and partners.
“Better connected and more frequent rail services for Liverpool will create greater opportunities for our businesses to attract talent from a wider catchment area, will support our outstanding visitor and cultural offer and also enable enhanced onward connectivity with other regions and cities across the country. It is another step towards enabling a well-connected City Region, capable of maximising its growth potential.
“We fully welcome today’s commencement of additional services and look forward to these scaling up in the coming months ahead.”
Managing Director of Services at Alstom UK and Ireland, Peter Broadley, said: “Alstom is proud to support Avanti West Coast as we welcome their new trains to our Midlands Traincare Facility in Oxley, where they will be serviced and cleaned around-the-clock.
“Alongside the newly refurbished Pendolinos, Alstom continues to play a strategic role in helping Avanti West Coast enhance connectivity and rail service quality on this essential UK route.”

Jim Brewin, Head of UK and Ireland at Hitachi Rail said: “Evero demonstrates yet another significant and successful milestone for our world class manufacturing teams in Newton Aycliffe Co. Durham. In collaboration with our local UK and global supply chain, Hitachi Rail has delivered the first trains of a 23-strong fleet which is a true testament to the resilience and determination of everyone involved in this remarkable project.

“Alongside our partners and stakeholders, Hitachi Rail are thrilled to be able to spread the benefits of our rolling stock and improve passenger journeys on the West Coast.”

There's a write-up in the Liverpool Echo on the Evero experience, which is very positive.
However, seeing as the seats are the same as the refreshed Pendolino, its not clear where the improvement is.
They are also described as "quieter" than the Pendolino, which I doubt.
They may not "sway" as much (tilting is not swaying), but the 807 ride will be rougher than the 390.
Much is made of the increase in services to Liverpool, but not of the inability to call at Liverpool South Parkway, or of the power supply issues on the route.
I was impressed by their design - they are roomier than the Pendolinos, with a welcome increase in legroom. Each carriage is longer and there are more table seats, with the tables themselves made from recycled material.

The comfort was also much improved. The seats - which are the same as those found on the refurbished Pendolinos - are much comfier than their predecessors, with curved headrests perfect to set you up for a snooze to pass the time.
Crucially, these new trains are much quieter than the Pendolinos and do not sway as much. I use Avanti trains a lot as I have family and friends in London. But I will often find myself returning to Liverpool on a Sunday feeling a little fragile after a weekend enjoying the capital's pubs.

I shall be interested to see, especially as (in general) they can't do the same speeds ... My ride on a Pendolino yesterday evening was definitely "lively," gaining time most of the way (let down by checks or overtime at most stations) I wonder what an Evero will be like at its lower maximum permitted speed?

Very similar to a 350 in my experience. Indeed I find 80x generally feel like a 444 with a pantograph.

It would be better if those extra services for Liverpool would call at more stations to boost connectivity with other destinations, i.e. Crewe.

For I would imagine Crewe - Runcorn/Liverpool will be more popular than Rugby - Runcorn, especially when LNR throw in the towel with endless cancellations. Although we all know, a fair percentage of passengers from Runcorn travelling towards Liverpool only pay when challenged (certainly the guard on Saturday on an LNR was doing well judging by the sound of the printer)

The extra ones in December call at Runcorn, Litchfield and Tamworth, plus Rugby or Crewe mostly.

What is the issue with south parkway?

I'm not sure there is an issue, but Avanti won't want 807s to call until they are certain they won't be substituted by 390s, which are too long.
One of the original PR points was that the second hourly service would call there.

It's the existing one technically, at least the existing XX:43 path each way and currently timed for an 80x which will receive Parkway calls.

The additional hourly one, timed for a 390, is to serve Tamworth, Lichfield and Runcorn.

Picked up a pair of 805s on the egregiously late 1B52, saw the 1702 and 1705 go past me at MK and both seemed fairly well loaded-I suppose the real test will be how they cope on Friday!

I'd be interested to know whether the 1705 existing has any effect on the loadings of the 1630/1730 Glasgows now there's options for Warrington, Wigan & Preston
