Currently a 730 failed outside Watford Junction, causing just a few thousand delays minutes, Friday afternoon peak into Euston. Oh deary...Windows 98, eh?

On Wednesday 730213 was on the Wembley-Crewe etc and 730225 Oxley-Crewe etc, on Friday the Wembley didn't appear but 730225 was with 730206.

Seems to be lots of delays in Cross City this morning (due to a "fault with the train")...
730007 has a big sticker in the front window (non-driving side) with a cross and the letters N and M vertically aligned. Does this mean "no multiple working" at this cab end of something?

What happened to yesterdays (Mon 22Jul) 37884-hauled train (5Q95 09:05 Willesden-Long Marston)? It had 730217 and 730212 in tow, but was put into Whitacre Loop and cancelled with a brake problem. Later 5Q95 was re-scheduled to go to Derby Litchurch Lane, but according to Railcam only got as far as Nuneaton.
Where are 730217 and 730212 now, and is 37884 still with it?

With over half of the 730s now in regular service have any 350/2s been retired?

No 350s retired - yet. I think mainly retired 319s on the South WCML replaced temporarily by using four pairs of 730/0s, Most of the rest of the in use 730/0s are replacing 323s in Birmingham on Cross City so far.
Have a look at Part Time Spotter to see what the 730/0s are up to.
SO701 to SO708 are South WCML.
SO709 is Wolverhampton to Walsall via Birmingham,
SO711 to SO724 SO726 to SO727 are Cross City.
That is 25 class 730/0s out of 48 in use daily so far.
No 730/2s in passenger use yet but expected to take over South WCML first leading to all 730/0s being in Birmingham. How soon that means Soho running out of 323s to retire I do not know.

Thank you. I accept what you are saying but are we approaching the time that the 730/0s are ready to move onto other diagrams? The 323 movement to Northern is now complete so I understand so will the remaining 323s on the City Lines be kept on some diagrams or will they be replaced by 730s? Is this dependant on the 730/2s entering service? Is it likely that Walsall will see more 730s? Are new 730s entering service on a regular basis?

It seems to be dragging on in fits and starts.
All 323s will eventually be retired from Birmingham (no re-use planned for the non-Manchester ones as yet). I suspect more 730/0s will be accepted into service before 730/2s.
The current process seems to be one (sometimes two) 730/0s arriving at Willesden for commissioning. Then going into service on South WCML on the ex 319 diagrams causing earlier 730/0s to cascade to Birmingham where they belong. Note there are I THINK only four 730/0s left to arrive from store (730025, 730026, 730034 & 730035). Lost track of how many 730/0s are in the midst of commissioning and FFR (Fault Free Running) which seems to be done on the WCML. So a start on the use of 730/2s might be soon !.
