Not sure exactly what you're suggesting, but a) it's very unlikely that Freightliner will be storing their 90s and b) even less likely that DB will be disposing of theirs to a competitor.
If I was Freightliner and DB was withdrawing 90s while fl have 66-hauled trains under the wires I’d take them.

How many 90s do Freightliner have, and are any of theirs operative (wasn't there some rumour that Freightliner was sidelining all electrics due to prices of electricity vs diesel)?

24 in total.

90050 however long term stored since 2004.

90045 stored awaiting wheelset repairs/repaint.
