I just got back some good news, I passed the paper assessment! God I'm so excited (and nervous lol)

No information in the email about dates for the computer tests and MMI, other than that they'll be sometime in the next few weeks, and that there will be another email with those dates.

Anyone else heard back? (hopefully with good news as well!)

Where does the OPC stand on failing the psychometrics when you’ve previously already passed them?

Bit of a grey area I know, but it does puzzle me.

I passed them to Enhanced in Feb 2020. Still in date for some but not TfW (as mentioned earlier).

But yeah. What happens if for instance I went for paper tests for TfW and failed them. Would it override my current pass mark or…?

A fail would overwrite your previous pass. Most TOC's are 3, FOC's are 3 years, and some are 5.

Yeah it is a weirdly late time for an email lol, I think they're trying to let us know as soon as possible considering that they could be doing some of the assessments on the 17th (I'd only sign up for that if there are no spots left on later dates personally though).

It is crazy. I managed to get the second of the two dates offered for Cardiff and I replied within four minutes of receiving the email. I have been glued to my phone waiting and lucky I can check it during work.

Missed out also. Replied within 30 mins of email. This is harder than the application form...

Thankfully TfW aren't involved in strikes so the Crewe to Cardiff train would still run

They won't be running if it's an RMT strike. 1 PSB, 1 ROC and 16 mechanical signal boxes between Crewe and Cardiff.....TfW haven't run anything outside of the area covered by South Wales ROC on strike days.

Yes, I had paper testing on the 6th at Chester (for Crewe depot). Received an email from Laura last night saying passed, computer testing email followed but went straight into spam folder

Congratulations on getting through everyone! Just a quick one, Ive had an email saying been shortlisted and just waiting to be given a date as theyve got a backlog they have to get through they said. 2 of my friends also applied and havent heard back but tbh have better applications/more experience than me so I think they will but does anyone know if theres any way theyre doing this?
If its alphabetical my last name begins with D, anyone got any insight on this or have a last name that is V or Z and already heard back?

Dates were between 17th and 31st, all Monday to Thursday. Testing at Cardiff city centre, even for those applying for Crewe/Chester. I've requested 2 dates but not had a response yet

Yeah will do! Yeah I was the same I got an email to say they’d let me know and still no news I know the railway is notoriously slow at getting back to applicants at the best of times.

Check your spam folder, a few of us passed paper assessments from 5/6th and it went straight in there. I'm sitting computer testing on Wednesday for Crewe depot

With TFW, the tests are split. Paper and computer.

On your first assessment day you will do you statement, bourdon, dials, high and low tones, plumbers/directory. You then write down 6 answers for the mmi should you pass.

On the second assessment you do the hand coordination, grey box and visual tests. Then if you pass you will do the mmi.

Some TOCs do it all on one day, but TFW split it

I've had no response and the date is fast approaching (less than a week away now)!!

Yes, 4 of us attended computer testing on Wednesday from paper testing on the 6th. They normally respond in 2 days so if it's been longer, drop them another email. When is your testing date? They responded 7 days before the date I requested.
