There are currently 30 E200MMCs laid up in Live Reserve. These will be reinstated over the weekend.

6 B7TLs will remain in active service at CA

Blantyres B7TLs will be kept as reserve/spare buses.

All other B7TLs and B7RLEs will be withdrawn over the next few weeks, at all locations. With Streetlites/E200s replacing the final B7RLEs.

Thank you for the info. I didn’t realise so many buses were running as surplus! Can I just ask what are the 30 E200MMCs and why haven’t they been in service?

The testing of the cancellation feature finally seems to be happening in Glasgow too. I noticed a 2 showing as cancelled towards Baillieston on it there. It's badly needed to be fair.

All of Aberdeen's Streetlites have been converted to Euro 6, so if they were to go somewhere that wasn't Scotland East or Glasgow First would have to pay for the conversion costs of all 10 which would be well in to the six figures.

I really hope at least one or two of them enter preservation with GVVT, those buses are quite historical to Glasgow, as they were some of the most successful low-floor buses at the time they entered service, seeing all of them go like that is just sad.

Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust would be the obvious choice for a Glasgow vehicle, but there's no reason why another preservation group couldn't take one on.

They’ll be hard done by to find one worthy of preservation without major work required. The majority of the B7RLE’s left are near enough belt together with tape and are absolutely finished mechanically.

I feel sorry for the drivers today. All of the extra passengers in the West End today and 4 2s together due to the roadworks through Finnieston, Partick and Scotstoun still ongoing. Of course as always passengers were upset at the wrong people though so no wonder it's so tough for drivers.

It's been promised by the Twitter team for over a year for here. I won't get my hopes up for it working anytime soon either. Testing seems to actually take a while too as it's been nearly a month since I noticed it tested on buses in Livingston and a lot of the time it's the same journey showing as cancelled and it does actually run sometimes causing even more confusion.

Even with very quiet roads the 75 has been woeful for reliability for years to be fair. Pre roadworks, the 2 even at peak times wasn't actually that bad and that was me using it on a daily basis midweek. The morning ones especially just now are actually fine other than the roadworks.

To be fair I just miss a 2 if they're all on time so the roadworks have been helping me out a lot. They tend to run early towards Partick normally by 2-3 mins with no roadworks.

The likely reasoning for those 75s being like that today will be down to the temporary traffic lights at Possil Rd and Garscube road. It took the 75 I was on earlier around 10 minutes just to get from New City Road up to Possil Road but surprisingly it was a little more reliable with times today.

I even had a situation where a journey was showing up on the app as just a black timetabled time turning up as opposed to showing "Live".

You’re kinda right, 69122 (SV06 GRK) is probably the only one that’s in good quality, and that bus worked at Aberdeen for most of it’s life.

Do First Glasgow have controllers that can intervene to turn buses. They’ve got all the tracking technology, so they know that buses are running around in 3s or 4s. Last Friday afternoon I saw 4 240s charging into town mid-afternoon. Just checked the app and there is a 42 minute gap until the next bus, but 3 of them are running on top of one another through Motherwell – no doubt they’ll chase each other all the way into town. I’m used to I-bus in London changing the destination of the bus mid-route – is it beyond First to cobble together a way to regulate the service.

The issue may well be that all of those 240s are pretty full; it's a really busy route.
