MMI you do have to write answers to 6 questions. You then go into an interview and get grilled over those answers as part of the process.

The DMI follows as what you'd think of as an old-fashioned job interview
this was very helpful. thanks

No thats the mmi, you write down answers then they quiz you on them, then you do the dmi at a separate time
but you don't do the mmi on the same day you attend the assessment centre right?

Hi, you will do your assessment day and at some point they will give you the six MMI questions to answer on paper. You will then have your DMI at a later date which is like a traditional interview. Following on from that, again at a later date, you will have your actual MMI which will be based around the six answers you gave on the assessment day. They gave me the chance to read my answers and amend any if necessary before the MMI commenced.

Hope this helps.

Does anybody know whether you do the MMI or DMI on the assessment centre day for southern or do you do it at a later date, as i have my assessment this friday?
They will ask you on the assessment day to write down the 6 examples you will want to use for your MMI - if you search MMI in the search the actual questions are available as they’re the same for everyone. You will just need to write a quick sentence for each - then you will be given a copy of that paper for your MMI which will be if you pass your DMI at a later date - they’re all separate though - my DMI was by teams - then I was back to go ahead for my MMI once I passed that. Good luck

Have you started training yet ? I’m curious how long a wait in the talent pool is likely to be. If not, has anyone else ? How long between a successful MMI and starting training. thanks

When I ended up in the talent pool (few years ago) I waited just little over 12 months to get a start date...

no I haven’t and been told I didn’t make the next course which was November/ December - I would assume (or hope) it should be some time next year :) maybe the year after :) who knows.. They’re definitely running courses again :)

Yes, at least courses are running and you're getting updates. Hopefully won’t be long.

Seems like a long time. I found out 5 days after assessment day. I’d email. Although I did email HR for an update 2 weeks ago. As yet no reply. Such a shame Madi has left the company as she kept me well updated.

Are you talking about assessment day outcome? If yes, it is normally on the same day that you would be told if you were successful or not. It is DMI that can take up to 5 working days for the outcome.
With covid. I didn’t find out for a few days. Not sure if they’ve reverted back to same day outcomes yet. Hope all is good with you.

Just managed to book myself my DMI, so things are still moving forwards in the background in terms of DMI and MMI's

Hi you finally got your start date ? How is the training going ?
I'm still waiting, been waiting since march now , didn't think I would be waiting this long tbh.
Which TOC are you with and what depot? Fingers crossed it won’t be long?

My bad. Just checked my junk box and I have an email from GTR on 04/09 saying I passed and that dates for a DMI will be sent in due course.
