step busses on 47s again today and on 30 that passed. new 85 and 86 sellafield bus times are in new workington and whitehaven timetable books that were on my bus home today.
new reays adverts on cfm advertizing new 63 and 64 routes and 75 in carlisle. anybody no what new busses they have yet ?

Reays had an old step bus on 75 as well.
8 Plaxton Primo's supposedly. although, they remain to be seen! they're not at Wigton or Egremont.

Carlisle Citi Dayrider price has been slashed from £3.30 to £2.90 in readiness for Reays services starting on friday.

20904 replaced 24120 (i think it was that one) on 79 and 179 late on this afternoon.
16870 was pulled from 214 due to height reasons. 16343 went on instead.
20944 on 1640 300 to Workington.
33161 on short 685 again.
34048 on 93 late this afternoon.
24122 and 24123 on 104. 24124 is still off service from "breakdown" on saturday.
been informed that 52626 had a rather big breakdown, hence Interurbans on 685.
42094 on 66's.

20456 in Carlisle bodyshop, with 16338 and 16649.
16631 in paintshops.
CE's 20960 is to get a new engine, after its current one "went bang".

I think competition is good in any area, as long as the smaller company are sensible about what they do and are capable of competing.

lets just say dropping the price of the Citi Dayrider isn't the only thing Stagecoach are doing ;) more on that when it happens

47060 been replaced on 50 by................. 34616!
A very healthy sounding 17017 on 300 to Carlisle :D It now has the new style rear lights, ;)

They really have put the effort in fixing and doing up 17017 like! Handling the 300 now... booya
Nice to see a low-floor replacement on Moorclose!

As for Reays, i encourage their competitiveness but i hope that they dont get too big for their boots!

i expect they will do there best to get reays out of carlisle but i think the competition people will be watching

Well as long as SC don't get silly like in Preston, which I'm sure they wont seeing as Reays are small and PB were not I don't think the CC will have any reason to stick their noses in.

The competition people have no power to intervene in Carlisle. If Stagecoach drive Reays out, there is no loss in competition compared to before Reays started. The council subsidised routes Reays run would then be retendered, and I can't see Stagecoach bidding on all of them....

i'm not looking forward to the winter period, while i'm stood on freezing train platforms! hat & gloves will be back out very soon with the looks of things!!! at least the 142 i had this morning was warmer than the 156's i usually get landed with
i've yet to experience a "good" ride on 20436! always been awful rough rides, with rather poor acceleration compared to R-XVM's!

15685 running at least 10 mins late on 300 this afternoon.
14234 on 30 and 31. it had quite a few standee's on it this morning!
20923 on Maryport - Lakes College 30. i'm told it had standee's on it when it left Workington, so looks like 30 and 31's in morning could be overly busy when the college special runs finish on friday!!!
20905 on Moorclose 51.
20918 and 47023 on Seaton.

20451 now in service in Carlisle.
52409 on 685.
33161 on short 685 again.
16355 on 554 again.
14232, 14268 and 16330 used on staff shuttles before schools.

20895 has been transferred to Carlisle ;)

Or perhaps the consolidation of some school routes from Deckers to B10Ms? Possibly seat belts now required (can't see why though)

I've finally found something positive about 20474....it was warm this morning

20451 is for a school contract, which i believe requires seatbelts. CE already have 20904 seatbelted, but another bus was needed. the "in Lancaster" has been removed, but all adverts and everything else are still on it.

forgot to add earlier that 20977 was on 104, along with 24123.

Timetables for Reays new services in Carlisle have finally appeared on Cumbria County Council's website. Looks like a PVR of 8 to me. Not sure where in Carlisle Botherby is, and a route map or description would be nice.

Looking forward to Friday.

Excellent, cainebj. Where did that come from, as (obviously) I hadn't found it.

it was published on the News & Star website.

Changes to services 61 and X61

Timetable changes

Service Update

Would customers please note the following changes taking place from 31st October 2010:

61 Preston - Blackpool

The route will be revised to include Clifton village on all journeys, following numerous customer requests! As a result, there will be some minor timetable changes.

X61 Blackpool - Preston - Manchester

The winter 2010/2011 timetable will commence, with a general reduction in the number of trips between Preston and Blackpool. In addition, we will now be serving all stops between Horwich Crown and Horwich Beehive, due to customer requests. A number of times will be changing to improve reliability, so please check the new timetable carefully, as the bus could be scheduled to leave your stop earlier than present.

20451 was out quickly!!!

22816 looking fresh on the 4, seats haven't been done which is a shame.

I imagine that B10 coming to CE will be in connection with Reays. They may use it to insure they have more then enough buses to cover the routes if any brake down or get delayed so they can provide a punctual service where possible.
