Wend down from 10st 10 to just over 10st in three days.
Crikey. FWIW actual flu took half a stone off me, the only thing that has made me not want to eat for a substantial period!

I've no idea how I contracted nora-virus, I presume working for a pharmacy and being out delivering their trays etc I picked it up from a customer. Although it was around, I can't remember any government advice similar to what we are getting today. On the plus side I managed to fit into an old pair of 32" jeans afterwards that I was about to throw away!!Crikey. Nora virus. Probably the worst illness I have ever had
That's it, I'm outta here. Off to buy some of that "panic" you've all been talking about."That's the worst case of bird flew I've seen this season" said the doc.

Shame. I was planning a panic picnic.Sorry, the supermarkets are all out of panic...
Eww. Pasta tastes much better.Perhaps more likely people have seen the government advice and started consuming soap at a much higher level than usual.
Desperate days indeed$**%, I nearly entirely agree with a post by DarloRich. Times must be bad.
Unrequited love did it for me (and thirteen pounds.)Crikey. FWIW actual flu took half a stone off me, the only thing that has made me not want to eat for a substantial period!
The hard shiny toilet paper that used to be widespread. It was a bit like tracing paper. To open the bowling for Lancashire!!!
What???
Flu and a cold are both a form of Coronavirus. COVID-19 will undoubtedly become endemic in due course - having shut the Italian stable door long after the horse has bolted. Then a vaccine will be developed and the current hyperbole will seem excessive.i don’t think that’s really fair. Flu is in common usage as meaning a severe cold (as opposed to sniffles) - ie feverish and knackered but not to true flu levels. The difference between an inconvenient cold and a debilitating cold. When they mean flu people tend to say “actual” or “real” flu.
The coat rack is becoming rather empty! Two doctors are walking along a pavement when they notice a 23-yr-old busty blonde on the surgery roof. She jumps off, flaps her arms a bit and falls splat onto the pavement in front of them.

My local Asda today...
How did you smuggle a drone into Asda?
There was no paracetamol of any variety left in my local Morrisons this afternoon. This is understandable if everybody is buying one packet but extremely selfish if people are buying more than they need. A quick audit of my medicine box reveals enough for about a week or so, so I won't be buying any.
Shop Stock Update.
Took a trip to Morrisons today (just a 6 pack of Dandelion & Burdock, no need to panic). As mentioned upthread, the cheaper / own brands of toilet roll were in short supply. The expensive brands in good supply. Lots of people seemed to have a couple of packs in the trolley, but no-one had nothing but toilet roll. Just lots of people sensibly stocking up rather than mass hysteria today.
Alert the security guard. Someone has drunk a can of pop and left the empty on the shelf. Presumably unpaid for!My local Asda today...
Given that you can only buy two at once this one does seem odd.
But you can simply reenter the store and go round again! Maybe therefore thought should be given to selling them from the tobacco kiosk where people would be less inclined to try it on.
It’s been hidden behind the bog rolls all this time?I did find the holy grail though....
Nice one! It’s been hidden behind the bog rolls all this time?![]()
Seriously considering making my own hand sanitiser ...
1. Turn on the tap
2. Wet hands
3. Add soap
4. Rub for ~20s
5. Rinse
6. Dry with paper towel
There you go, I made some for you.
