Is the FLIRT out today?
Potentially, have seen that the 0930 Service from Cambridge terminates on 6 to then do Norwich to Great Yarmouth services and then a new unit is coming to run the 0938 Norwich to Cambridge on Platform 3. Could be a 755 on either diagrams potentially. Hopefully is on the Cambridge route to allow the 755s to stretch their legs a bit.Is the FLIRT out today?
If the 9:38 to Cambridge is a flirt unit does anybody know what the remainder of that diagram is?Potentially, have seen that the 0930 Service from Cambridge terminates on 6 to then do Norwich to Great Yarmouth services and then a new unit is coming to run the 0938 Norwich to Cambridge on Platform 3. Returns from Cambridge on the 1109, then spends around 20 minutes on Crown Point, possible refuelling, then is back out on Cambridge at 1340.If the 9:38 to Cambridge is a flirt unit does anybody know what the remainder of that diagram is?
Timing load = class 317 emu!!!!!. And what looks like extended 2 minute dwell times en route.Returns from Cambridge on the 1109, then spends around 20 minutes on Crown Point, possible refuelling, then is back out on Cambridge at 1340.
The 1109 has had extended dwell daily times since May. It's due to the 1100 Ni90 service from Liv St having its path over Trowse Bridge. The 1230 up then has priority before finally the dawdling 1109 with its pathetic path. It arrives too late to reliably form the 1240.T

You wouldn't happen to have a picture(s) of these signs?
Cool. I here the 37s (one in IC livery) are out too. Not a Summer Saturday of yesteryear but a nice bit of variety all the same.I'm now on the 9.59 to Great Yarmouth and its 755418![]()
What exactly are these signs for? I didn't think there were OHLE at either of those places.
This is from platform 5 at Norwich. Its a sign with "Class 755" at the top, then "Power Changeover" and "Diesel Whittingham Hn Thetford"

It's a reminder to a driver of a 755 that may have come in on electric from the depot (or from the Ipswich direction) that if they are departing towards either of those directions they must engage the diesel modeWhat exactly are these signs for? Only one 755 out today then.I'm now on the 9.59 to Great Yarmouth and its 755418![]()
Yes that's the plan. Idiot boards have to be put up for everything these days.So they won't pan down on the move which is a shame. Will they pan up while idol in Norwich?
Do the NI90's run at weekends too?

Plus one tootling about on test / training, and a 745 doing some ML runs to Colchester and Ipswich, the 745 said on the side: Calling at Manningtree, Ipswich, Needham Market, Stowmarket.........![]()

Zero at the moment. Still more route proving to do on that line before carrying passengers. Seems the perfect route to put them on after covering NC37.Any likelihood a 755 will be used between Norwich and Cambridge on Monday?
With SDO working there'd be no real reason why a stop at Needham couldn't be put in on a new timetable, maybe just one an hour with the extra stopper to Norwich that was mooted? I'm sure the people of Needham would like to stop just watching the London trains pass by!
99% of Passengers could not give a hoot about variety, they are only interested in getting from A to B without the train being cancelled and on a clean comfortable modern train. None of the previous GA stock (and I include the 170's , even they look tired) really meet that criteria, the sooner all the 15x stock has gone the better.Lots of excitement about the Stadler units entering passenger service, just wonder how long it will take before everyone says Anglia is boring with no variety![]()
