Falcon also had numerous issues for the first two years due to numerous faults with the brand new coaches and even now the doors cause issues regularly which is a pain given Falcon is now so popular.

Well I'd have thought the Oxford Tube would get new coaches as it's usually been every 5 years this high-frequency coach service gets new coaches. It'll be interesting to see what the types are, though. So effectively the Wantage routes get a brand-new vehicle added!
The coach services between Oxford and London have been hit quite hard by the new Chiltern Railways service, and there are rumours that Oxford Bus may pull out of the X90 altogether and concentrate on the Airport routes. Stagecoach are probably deferring renewals for a couple of years as the finances of the Oxford Tube are not as healthy as they were.

There is less investment from Stagecoach overall, and with the coaches already Euro 6 the fleet renewal could be held for a few years (although they could use the existing fleet to replace older coaches). I would be unsurprised if the X90 is pulled, however there are still good loadings at times on both services. If the X90 was pulled there may be some peak enhancements to the Tube.
With recent announcements re Euro 6 upgrades now being available on the most modern Volvo Coach models, I wonder if Stagecoach might go down this route for the Euro 5 '62 & "63 reg Megabus coaches?
Greater London is going all Euro 6 from 26/10/2020, Birmingham has just announced an LEZ and Manchester are making similar noises.
Indeed if the Manchester plans go ahead, (proposed £100 per day charge per vehicle non Euro 6) Stagecoach (and all Manchester operators) are going to have serious problems, even if public funding is made available for emission upgrades, the timescales/resources are very short).

Since we are comparing notes about new vehicles, the only ones I've heard much about are single deckers for the 25 in Sheffield (Bradway - Woodhouse, the old Yorkshire Terrier route).
There were new Streetlites for the 1 (High Green - Batemoor) last year, partly funded by the authorities, but most of the Stagecoach vehicles are around eight years old now - we had quite an influx in the early years of Stagecoach but then went down the pecking order after that (and fair enough)..
Also, since I don't think it's been mentioned on here, the 737 comes off next month and is replaced by a half hourly X6 (Sheffield - the "new town" of Waverley - Advanced Manufacturing Park - Wickersley on the outskirts of Rotherham - the Amazon warehouses and "iPort" on the edge of Doncaster - Doncaster Sheffield Airport). I don't know if it'll serve the Yorkshire Wildlife Park on it's way to the Airport. It does tie in to the Parrots Corner P&R on the outskirts of Doncaster where it'll connect with Stagecoach services to Bawtry etc. It ties a few "non-traditional" areas together - there'll hopefully be a lot of jobs at the AMP and iPort over the next few years - just like the way that Stagecoach have adapted to the Amazon warehouse at Dunfermline or the various "logistics" warehouses on the outskirts of Barnsley (ASOS etc). A lot of young people working antisocial hours etc.
The "express" network has been beefed up a lot in the past few years - the X17 from Matlock/Chesterfield to Sheffield/ Meadowhall/ Barnsley, the X10 from Barnsley to Leeds, the X20 from Doncaster to Barnsley etc). How long until the old 909 (Sheffield - Meadowhall - Doncaster - Scunthorpe - Grimsby/Hull) makes a comeback?

I've been blocked by Megabus from reading or contributing to their Twitter account.
I had the temerity to criticise their zero flexibility ticket rules on services from airports. They had told a person on a delayed inbound flight to buy two new tickets costing £90, then tweeted that the original coach was running two hours late. I added a tweet pointing this out to the original enquirer and was blocked immediately.
I was annoyed at first but on reflection I'm a bit chuffed. Reached pension age and never been "banned" from anything before in my life. Don't think much of their customer service ethos though.

Out of the company, the ex-D&E coaches will be the first vehicles to go. I suspect most will go in the next month or two once the new E400MMCs displace the Service35 Panthers at Macduff.

they will be replaced next year .National Express coaches are replaced after 7 years.

Ref National Express, (& Megabus), rather timely that the whole of Greater London will be a Euro 6 min emissions zone from October 2020, so every coach will need to be built as Euro 6 or modified.
(Note for the avoidance of doubt, Victoria coach Station is just outside of the Congestion zone, which becomes the ULEZ in a few weeks time, so Euro 5 vehicles are ok for about another 18 months, provided they skirt round the West End, City & South Bank).

Volvo B9R / Plaxton Elite 53702/3 (OU10GYJ/K) have arrived at Stagecoach South East (Herne Bay depot), in East Midlands Trains livery.
They have actually been in the South East fleet before, when they operated the National Express routes (now run by King's Ferry).
There is a rumour why they have arrived here, but can anyone confirm why these coaches are here?

They're there for rail replacement work.
That would make sense, as South East have started operating rail replacements over the last few years. Can imagine they'll spend a lot of time sitting around though, as they have rarely operated RR outside of weekends.
This now being run with Darts and Enviro 200's from Northampton depot

Buses mag report that Stagecoach Yorkshire are to refurbish Scania - Enviro 300s 28675-78 for new route X6 from Sheffield to Doncaster Sheffield Airport starting today.

I've had some time now acclimatising to the new timetable in Lancaster and it's about 18bph from the University to the city. Ideally you want to get a 1 but others will make do. A lot of people aren't aware of the 41 and 42 but they do a great job and I don't see why uniriders wouldn't be allowed on them. (I don't have one)
But sadly, 18 is still not enough. The overcrowding situation is still ridiculous - at night as there are so few buses you can easily get a couple hundred trying to get onto one or two buses. During the day it's equally as much carnage - and each 1 leaves just as sardined as the next
The new campus opens at the end of this academic year. Two new colleges are rumoured to be being added to Lancaster University's collegiate and the University is taking in even more people every year. New developments are going up all the time.
I think Stagecoach in Lancaster are generally excellent, but this isn't going to end well.

The route is up and running but the buses aren't yet (so Rawmarsh putting other vehicles out on it in the meantime). I've not seen pictures to know if they'll be in a "dedicated" livery.
There's an interesting bit of co-operation going on, with the Stagecoach X6 broadly dovetailing with the Powells X7 to provide a fifteen minute service from Bramley and eastern Rotherham along the Parkway into Sheffield (providing a much faster journey than the First X1 which was recently reduced to every fifteen minutes - and runs via central Rotherham and Meadowhall).
For those with a spare day, wanting to tour South Yorkshire with a day-rider, the X6 also connects with other Stagecoach services like the 19 at Bramley (Rotherham - Dinnington - Worksop) and various Doncaster - North Nottinghamshire services at Parrots Corner (the Park & Ride south of Doncaster) - I think the Stagecoach ticket is £6/ day, so much more of their South Yorkshire network is opened up by the X6 (e.g. Sheffield - Barnsley on the "Gold" X17, Barnsley - Doncaster on the X19/X20, Doncaster - Parrots Corner on the 21/25/99, Parrots Corner - Sheffield on the X6...).
