The Westmorland Gazette has a brief article about a Stagecoach bus being bricked on the A590. The rear window was smashed, so I assume the bus was either one of Kendal's single decks or an Olympian.

SC Merseyside currently only 24126 and 24130 with fleetnumbers.

20720/48/49 have been withdrawn and will be sold (I bet they'll migrate up here for storage!)

47024 on Whitehaven - Maryport 30.
47060 on Workington Town Services this afternoon.
20757 and 20761 on 301.
20765 on X5.
47617 was on annexe earlier. 47060 went down towards town centre from Lillyhall, so assuming 47060 had replaced 47617.

I was on Merseyside early, so took a little detour pass Gillmoss Depot, from the road i could see a least 10 new E300's inculding 24126 (PO59 HXR), 24128 (PO59 HXT), 24130 (PO59 HXV) plus un-numbered PO59 HXW, & PO59 HXY unable to see registration numbers on the others.

Also present was Peston's 19038, and four of the recently transfered Olympians from Gloucester 16411, & 16449 were parked next to road, the other two were parked at the far end of the yard. I guessing that the missing one is at Preston in place of 19038.

I think 19038 was there for some rally on the Wirral today - it was swapped off the X2 I believe, so must have been allocated specially.

I never realised just how many people go the Uni in the mornings. 3 buses went passed Bowerham without stopping because they were full to the brim. Then when I eventually boarded the 2a he had to miss out most of Hala as he was full. I may begin to get the 3/X3 from Greaves and see if that's better lol.

Info bus and 14208 at the underpass with he same two chaps on duty.

18330 failed at Bowerham at 12.30 leaking fluid from the left side of the engine.

SC have put a notice up at the Uni telling passengers to expect heavy delays due to the road works in Lancaster. Apparently the work isn't set to be completed until November.

Travellers choice have two plain white solos running about town on 8a and 8c services. Kirkby lonsdale must have lost the contracts but nice to see town services nearly all low-floor.:D

Oh my word that passed my me completely. So is it just Battersby and Travelers on town services now or do KLCH still have something? I'm not really aware of the smaller operators.

22824 on 942
20545 on 3
17023 on 55 with broken blinds.

Am I allowed to say that I'm glad KLCH have lost these contracts? Personally I'm disgusted by their maintainence and attitude.

Nothing to report today, apart from exceptional traffic conditions this morning. Uni related no doubt

Yeah solos look good, saw a 05 plate one with the roller blinds mentioned above.

I'm glad KLCH have lost it. I saw one of their drivers smoking in the cab while driving through in service the other day and their vehicles aren't up to much. Now Battersby needs a solo or two lol.

Exactly what I was trying to say before, some of their drivers seen to be decent blokes - and well known to the SC drivers - but the majority are ****s.

It has been illegal for a PSV driver to smoke whilst driving for a number of years, if seen by a VOSA official he could lose his PSV driving licence entitlement.

Indeed!

22824 on the X1 and 20795 on the 3/4 should have been the reverse.

Took me an hour and a half to get from Heysham to the Uni this morning. two 2 and one 2a were following each other half the way. The traffic in town really is ridiculous. Can't wait for them to finish the work.

S reg Trident failed on the M6 outside the Uni, 18362 parked behind it presumably the replacement.

Wonder where the Trident was going on the M6, was it going north or south?

Saw 1 this morning on my way home from work, they look really smart, a big improvment on what used to be on those routes. Didnt get chance to catch the reg number, does anyone know where these vehicles have been used before Travellers Choice?

Yes indeed A6 Jonesy sorry about that

Later saw 18362 running dead through Bowerham been driven by one of the ticket attendants from the underpass. I assume 14195 (Leyland sat at the uni) was taken down to replace the Trident and 18362 was taken into down to run schools. But that's just a guess lol. The Trident was still there at 2.50 with a part of its front missing presumably ready for tow.

It depends which X1 you saw the 0815 departure off the station is booked for one, then works onto the 0900 No 3 depature off the underpass, although at the moment, due to the Town Hall, a Versa is running from the railwasy Station with the MAN commencing at Chapel Street. More cost to the company but at least you will be able to turn right off Aldcliffe Rd with a push bike at the end of ten weeks of complete madness

I got it from the underpass at about 10/10.10 this morning as I only got to the uni at 9 (eventually) and your right it is madness in town!!!

I saw a solo leaving the Uni out of service yesterday morning and a versa at the same time last week. Not sure why they were there.

Also just saw 20547 running though Bowerham working the 2a I think...
