What are probably last pair of units have finally left Ilford, 99m later than scheduled.

ROG will also be moving a 365 from Eastfield to Shields tomorrow morning assuming 160pts at High Street (giving access to the City Union) are fixed overnight.

I'm a daily commuter on the E&G. I was off work on Monday, and yesterday I got a 380 to work and a 170 back, but this morning I sampled my first 365. It certainly felt nippy, and we seemed to stop at Polmont for some time, possibly due to early arrival. I sat in the first class area (I assume first class is still declassified for now?) and found it extremely comfortable, despite having 2+2 rather than 2+1 seating. As a temporary stopgap, these will do just fine, and hopefully we'll now get less short forms and a bit more room, although last night's 1730 Queen Street - Edinburgh was a single 170.

Are all the intended 365 diagrams in operation now, or are there still more to go over?

There seemed to be two sets out and running diagrams on the E&G yesterday evening : 365517 / 537 and 365509 / 525

Only 4 sets in use out of 10 so lots more to change over. In 2 weeks time only 1 train per hour will be a diesel but we are expecting the first 385 in service in in July too. The biggest issue right now is getting enough drivers trained. Things are starting to ramp up now with the electrics thankfully.

Hi, I was hoping to get one of these trains from Edinburgh. Does anyone know what times they are booked to leave from.

The earlier posts suggest that they operated the 00.45 departure in either direction, but whether it's same every day, I don't know.

Same today :30 and :45 leaving Waverley

I should be more specific, I guess ...

It was 15:30 / 15:45 and 17:30 / 17:45 for EDB* (odd hours from EDB)
and
16:30 / 16:45 from GQS (even hours from GQS)

*and 19:30 but 19:45 doesn't run so 365517 / 537 sets sat in Platform 14 for I don't know how long

Well at least they will have a ninth unit to use for training and as a maintenance spare. I wonder if the tenth unit was a failure at Ilford? Would explain why the train ran 100 minutes late, if they were trying to get it sorted.

Isn't it sods law the 365's get launched on the hottest days since 1995 when the lack of air-con will be noticeable - the 378's and 700's came out on the GN during the winter when no-one noticed the benefits of their air con! Sometimes I do feel sorry for the TOC's!

Anybody know how long the 365's will be with Scotrail? I'll be visiting Edinburgh again in December and I'm hoping to spot some at Waverley upon my arrival if they're still around.

Probably there will still be some around until all 385s are in service. Next question, please ?

Open the windows on the 365s and there won't be an issue on them.

The 365s with all the windows is a noisy experience indeed , great seating layout for me with mostly airline seating . Set of doors were defective and internal doors were not responsive were only issues.

The internal doors require a particular method of pressing the buttons - people who go storming up and punch the button hard will find nothing happens, which personally I’ve always found mildly amusing. A gentle tap and hold will do the job. For the second door it’s sometimes necessary to raise a hand to the movement sensor above the door if not standing close enough.

Definitely not unique to the 365s, even electrostars require a wave sometimes.

I made use of the coach/plane-style air nozzles this morning, and had a very pleasant stream of cool air directed at me.

They were absolutely sizzling on Thursday evening according to a friend. Line speed restrictions + standing room only + no air-con + 32C heat created a nightmarish experience!

I did get to use them today though, and must say I was impressed from start to finish. Didn't find the toilets to be at all smelly as some other forumers have commented, either.

Afternoon all

Likely to be in Edinburgh in the next few days, so a trip on a few 365s would be fun.

Are the 365 diagrams still the same as outlined previously, ie xx30 and xx45 departures from Edinburgh in the odd hours and xx30 and xx45 from Glasgow in the even hours? And what about later in the evening when the frequency is reduced?

And finally, do they operate on Saturdays as well and if so is it the same as the above?

Thanks for any help

Cheers

I don't know in general, but observationally the 1630 and 1645 services from Glasgow were both 365s today.
