It could be 319368, which I think is the last 319 in Northern base livery.

EDIT: I've had a look at RTT, and there was a move from Wolverton to Allerton which arrived at 02:37 this morning, with another move from Wolverton which was due at 13:04 being cancelled. There's also a move from Crewe this evening too.

It seems Northern looked at the option of removing the Chapman seating from the 156s so that it could be used to replace the seating in some of the 150s with Ashbourne seating but decided against it. Hence both Ashbourne seating on the 150s and Chapman seating on the 156s getting new seat covers.

Be interesting to see what (if anything) they do to the ex-ATN 156s which seem to have a layout not suitable for passengers with legs and also the small number of ex-Scotrail 156s which still have their original seats. As a minimum I would hope they keep some of the Chapman seats from the ex-Wessex 158s and use them to replace the existing seating in the ex-Scotrail 156s.

I'm pretty sure it was a brand name they had to come up. The ITT talked about Regional Express but made it clear they didn't have to brand services as that and while only the former TPE routes had to be Regional Express standard that:
a) They could include as many Regional Express standard routes as they wanted.
b) That trains meeting Regional Express standard could be used on any route.

The second point probably meant a designated livery was not possible, especially with the 331s.

I was on one yesterday (150140 or 150240 I cannot remember if it was a /1 or /2) on one of the very last DMU diagrams on a LIV-WBQ and back it did sound a bit different to announcements on the 319s that I've become used to

GWR 150/2 approaching Reddish South Station, unfortunately it took me by surprise so was unable to catch the unit number but having checked RTT it appears to be 5Z51 St Philips Marsh HST D to Newton Heath TMD. I didn't realise Northern were receiving 150/2s as well as /1s?

319368 was released from Wolverton yesterday in full Northern colours, so that's all of the plain ones done. The unit at Allerton is 319446 in unbranded TSGN, 37884 brought it north from Wolverton overnight on Thursday.

It's more like what you'd find on cheap office chairs than train seats! I do wish they'd go back to using soft fabric
