The vast majority of these Leyland Olly/Alexander RL's from this era are still very sound machines... would have probably made sense to have these as open toppers rather than the "lovely" Demise Fixodents, er i mean Tridents!

47474 and 47483 are due to be coming back to North West from Aberdare at end of August.
at that same time, 47482 will go back up to Glenrothes.

Errr...where in Lancashire is getting new Scanias?

AFAIK, the Scanias are for Manchester who will then cascade E400s or Tridents to ????

Merseyside are getting 45 E300s to replace Demise Drats and 6 other vehicles (at this stage it's unknown whether they'll be B10Ms for movement within the group, B10Bs again for movement or ELC Sprytes/Darts for disposal, proably via Ensign)

No, you're probably right.
With one thing and another I've not been on too regularly recently so I've had a lot of posts to read. I skipped over most of them that didn't seem particularly relevant at the time.

If Chorely are to get Scanias, it'll be to replace the Tridents on routes 125/6. 20 of the Tridents will be made available (?), with the majority going to Preston to replace the E reg ex-PB examples.

It makes no sense to use the Tridents to replace F reg Olys which are mainly on school work. It would be far better to replace Volvos with Tridents and then Leylands with Volvos (just like what happened at Barrow)

Yes, it's marked as "Seasonal Reserve" IIRC, although it is intended for disposal - possibly to North Scotland operations.

It was on the X1 around 4.40.

That's a lot of E300's for Merseyside! Wonder where all their crap will go lol.

Chorley are getting something be it Scanias or another type.

47024 on 50.
47062 on 51.
33168, 34079 and 47059 on Harrington & Seaton.
20734 was on 31, but was replaced by an Enviro that i have forgotten the ID of.
47616 and 47617 on Mirehouse 3 & 4.
47023 and 47060 on 1.
14233 on the 1755 Cockermouth 600 from Whitehaven.
a Carlisle Citi dart on Cockermouth - Carlisle 600 (yet B10M's were on the Citi services!).
i was on 14233 on 600 and have to say that it rode so much better than the Volvo's!
47024 done the evening Cockermouth X5, and powerwise, it was pretty useless! the 04's have so much more power in them!

Work on Workington Bus Station is now complete, a few weeks ahead of schedule, and its causing problems!
if a bus (X4 / X5 / 300 / 301) is at stand C, and Seaton / 35 / 36 is at stand E, then a bus can't get into stand D. similarly, if theres something at stand C, and then something goes to stand D, the bus at D pretty much has to tap the bus at stand C so its at the gap in the new cheap crappy railings that have no chance of stopping a bus. then if something goes into stand F, as happened today, then the bus at stand F has to reverse so the bus at stand E can reverse to get out!

Yeah sounds about right so more darts heading your way lucky you! lol.

17020/21 on the 41.
17024,18325, 18324,18363,18381, 18382 on the 2/2a.
25224 and 14196 on the 5.
20547 and 47016 on the 10.
47001 on the 89.
20790 on the 7.
14195 on the 42.
20451/63 dead at bus station.

Around 8.40 in the morning there is a big problem with congestion at the bus station. This is mainly down to buses sitting dead rather then been on school routes.

Saw an odd one this afternoon - an UID 18xxx Trident coming out of the Alexandra park junction at the University south end (near SW campus & Galgate) showing '2 University' on the blind, it then headed back towards town but I lost sight of it before the University gates so dont know if it went back up the Underpass or not....diversion maybe?

Also 14204 on the 42.

It's allocated to Lillyhall though and branded for the 31/31A (or summat like that)
Perhaps it's off to Merseyside for driver familliarisation?

Just had that thought because I know SC Western (Cornwall/Devon) had a Versa loaned to them for training, and I know it's happened elsewhere as well (Manchester lent Newcastle an E400 I think??)

Only thing I could think of was the short working late night 40 from Preston to Garstang but I would have thought this was covered by the outstation drivers, or possibly had been in Preston for the day if any extra or shuttle buses had been run for Rock in the park festival in Avenham park.

Will be off the 40 ,Garstang work it Monday to Friday, but it is a Morecambe turn on a Saturday

16331, 16339, 16655, & UID X35 branded Trident on X35's.

33167, 33168 and 34079 on Harrington & Seaton.
47060 on 51.
think 47059 was on 50, as it done evening Cockermouth X5.

was in Preston today, and 2 of the Preston Citi 3 branded darts were on 19 and 22. 25225 was on Penwortham 3, along with an oly i have forgotten ID of, a ex Preston Bus solo, and ex Preston Bus Scania Esteems. you can still see where all the LL route branding was on it!
VLT 255 (?, scania e400, forgotten the number) was on the 9.
25226 was on something, but i have forgotten. will find out when i get all my pictures sorted and uploaded haha.
Network Chorley branded solo's on 116 (?)

at CE, 20107 has been on 75. 34048 went on later on.
Citi branded dart on 66, which is usually B10M route.
20746 (on disposals list) was on 79 / 179, can't remember which haha.
14232 in back of depot with "steering wheel cover of death".
14203 in back corner, with no windows on lower deck, and various other missing parts. the roof damage is easilly repairable, but due to age, it is just being stripped of parts then scrapped.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
oh, few more things!!!
2 B10M's on 125 / 126, as well as a P reg oly.
20476 (i think) in CE for repaint. had advert on side for Fylde Coast MegaRider, and outlines of recently removed branding for 61 / 61A.

I saw 22609 on the M6 south near Tebay around 15:15. Where abouts did you see it mbonwick? How long will this be in LPL? At least three low-floors down in West Cumbria today - 20195 31, 20752 30 & 20129 31a. The midi low-floor routes all seemed to have low-floors on.
