I think their plan was to remumber it as 52209 , so in theory a standard unit again but I think they are considering giving gwr 207 instead , I will check how far the engineering got but it was quite involved as a roof hatch and tank cradle would need fittingThese two 57 cars with one being conveted to a 52 car, would I be right in saying that this eventual unit would be regarded as a 150/9 or to put it another way a potential 150909 what with it being a completly non standard unit that Northern shall be operating?
I think 319 380 and 319 386 are in new livery. One final update for the year.

If anyone sees any mistakes or has any additional information, please let me know.
In addition, does anyone know if any of the ScotRail units expected to join the fleet are PRM compliant?
With regard to the tank cradle, surely that's no different to the process of fitting tanks to vehicles which previously had "dump on the tracks" toilets?I think their plan was to remumber it as 52209 , so in theory a standard unit again but I think they are considering giving gwr 207 instead , I will check how far the engineering got but it was quite involved as a roof hatch and tank cradle would need fitting
The two roof tanks are been removed and replaced by one stainless steel tank , the pcc toilet uses a lot less waterWith regard to the tank cradle, surely that's no different to the process of fitting tanks to vehicles which previously had "dump on the tracks" toilets?
Unless you mean the clean water tank for the taps and for flushing, of course.
So we're talking supply tanks rather than waste tanks then? You wouldn't want that waste in the roofspace! The two roof tanks are been removed and replaced by one stainless steel tank , the pcc toilet uses a lot less water
We are due to start fitting cet tanks soonSo we're talking supply tanks rather than waste tanks then? You wouldn't want that waste in the roofspace!
Especially when Northern are planning on forming 3-car sets with just one toilet per unit... though that would be far too sensible!Wouldn't it make more sense to use the two spare toiletless carriages to convert two other units into three car units ?
There are lots of diagrams around Leeds where 150's seem to be stretched capacity wise.

Though are the orphaned cars owned by the same ROSCO as the ones being turned into threes? That would be an issue, albeit an illogical one.
So what units will be cascaded to Northern in January 2018?
GWR and LM have fifteen 150s so (say) ten transferring should make a big differenceNorthern are supposed to have most of the 150/1s from GWR and LM by January but with various delays I'm not sure of the exact transfer dates.

319 458 is as well, left Wolverton for Allerton behind a ROG 37 yesterday.I think 319 380 and 319 386 are in new livery.
Though there's nothing preventing hybrid sets being formed with just /2 vehicles... it's more that the 3-car units are less likely to work in multiple than the 2-car ones, so having no end gangways is less of an issue. The orphaned cars belong to Angel, the hybrid sets will have to be formed of Angel owned sets as Porterbrook don't own any 150/1s.

It would seem this is exactly how the plan is being amended.

16 3-car 170/4's are due by December 2018 (dependent on 385's entering traffic). 5 156's and 8 158's are due in 2019.
