Can't remember if the previous post was is in this thread or the other one, but 143629 should be working to Bristol and back again tonight - It was on the 19:21 from Dawlish (Service starts at Paignton at 18:52) to Bristol Temple Meads. Should be getting an unusual and fast run for a 143 - it only stops at Taunton and Temple Meads after Exeter.

Driving past Exeter st David's on Sunday I thought I saw a 153 in pale grey undercoat, I didn't see it properly though. Was that what I saw does anyone know?

But there also has to have been a joke told in the first place....

Good point, well made!!!

PC spotted on the M1? Well off-route? As in someone routed it down a road rather than on the track? Therein lies the jest? Oh well, I saw it anyway. ;)

Anyhow, back to something that matters - does anyone know when the existing grey 800/0s are due to be GWR'd? And if any more will arrive at NP in grey?

Hi all, anything of interest is Green sets, green units or liveries on the Cotswold Line tomorrow?

Depends entirely on which sets get allocated to which jobs - a green HST might turn up, a green 165 or 166 might turn up - but it's the luck of the draw really.

The 0750 off Paddington can produce a pair of green Turbos, one for Banbury and one for Malvern, splitting at Oxford, but I saw it today and while the Banbury set was green, the Cotswold one was one of the blue 166s - last Thursday both sets were green.

Will it be a green 8-coach slam-door set or a green 4-coach power-door set?

If all 8 coaches have gone then its a green 8 coach set, only 4 coach sets (TGS,TS.TSD and TS) are getting the doors done (for GWR anyway), no Buffets or 1ST class coaches.

I think LA72 has gone to Derby for C4 due to lack of capacity at Laira, the door mods are being done at Doncaster.

Do you know which service it was when it came down from Bristol or Exeter?::|

It worked:-

2C45 1018 Exeter St David's - Penzance
2P87 1345 Penzance - Plymouth
2C48 1557 Plymouth - Penzance
2P95 1916 Penzance - Plymouth

The latter two workings were paired with 150123.

I see my old local thing 150002 managed an escape to Devon earlier this week as well. Is it still down west or has it returned to Bristol?

Also noted this week is one of the green sets has gained a Dynamic Lines Coach E, just to break up the monotony of the Green.

I don't believe the power door refurbishments would occur up at Derby. So I believe it would be a green 8 car set.

Thanks both for the replies, the post I quoted didn't say if LA72 is formed of 8 coaches or four. I find it a bit surprising that another 8 carriage set is going to be repainted as they don't have all that long left to run and all the news when the direct award was launched said only 1 or 2 sets would go green. The power door sets have obviously changed that, but I still didn't expect any more full-length sets to get new paint.

150002 was working in Devon today but due to a passenger being taken ill on it, it was swapped with 150232 and 153377 that came in from Bristol. Therefore 150002 formed the Paignton to Bristol Temple Meads service tonight :)

Yep, I saw 150002 working 12:27 Southampton Central - Worcester Foregate Street today, and then should have worked the 12:41 Worcester Foregate St to Weymouth.

150239 was coupled to a 153 working Bristol Parkway - Weston Super Mare services when I saw them at 4ish.

Refurbished FGW livered 150219 and 150238 were working the 06:47 Worcester Shrub Hill to Weymouth and were meant to work the return to Gloucester but were cancelled at Bristol and were stabled in platform 2 at Temple Meads.

Does anyone know which 150 has gone up next to take 150239's place? I've seen both 150243 and 150265 today, so either 150221, 150249, 150261 or 150216 (150916).
