Good shout! Certainly wasn't good for my lungs to park a Deltic underneath it...

I believe that the A14 viaduct at Huntingdon station passes above the northern end of southbound Platform 2.
As does Brampton Road, right underneath the A14, but over the ECML at the north end of the southbound platform

Brentford has one - my little boy always thinks the train is stopping in a tunnel when we go through there because it is on a slight angle

In about five years time, if everything goes to the current schedule, this will no longer be the case

Dingwall - the bridge carries Ferry Road over the north end of platform 1.

Instead this dual carriageway monstrosity will connect into the already overcrowded Brampton Road...

Conversely has anyone got a station to offer where the platform is on a bridge over a road, not just up on an embankment?
I cam only think of Charing Cross

Cheadle Hulme - one bridge for the Crewe line, one for the Macclesfield line, two platforms on each.

Leeds

P14 & 15 Island at Manchester Piccadilly
13 and 14, with 15 and 16 yet to come.

Arbroath (both platforms)
Dingwall (at least one platform and possibly both)
Most northerly: Georgemas Junction (platform 2)

Taunton and Wakefield Westgate both, as I mentioned earlier in the thread. In fact Westgate has two roads going underneath, though one is no longer open to motor vehicles.

Does anyone know of any other stations that have a road bridge that goes over at least one of the platforms at the station.

So far i know of these five stations which all have road bridges going over the platform(s).

Ashford (Surrey) [P2]
Balcombe [P2]
Botley [P1 & P2]
Pluckley [P1]
Streatham Hill [P2]

Just to clarify the road bridge has to go over that platforms. So passengers can walk on the platform under the bridge. Bridges at the ends of platforms (but not over the platforms) dont count.

Corbridge.

Historically, Coatbridge Central looks like it did. But at present, I think the platforms now stop just before the bridge when you look at Google Earth. Glasgow Central certainly has platforms over the road - in fact, some of them bridge over two roads. Newton's on a bridge over a road too, as is Paisley Gilmour Street. I'm sure there are many more.

Back to the original question: Rutherglen's platform is now under the M74 motorway. Livingston North has one platform that runs under the adjoining road (the Eastbound platform), but the Westbound platform doesn't because the new platforms are staggered. Glasgow Queen Street High Level is in part under a bridge.

Bromley South has already been mentioned, and on the same line Chatham.

Going back to my old stomping grounds in Hertfordshire, Welham Green. This is an oddly arranged station with no dedicated footbridge. Not only is the road the only way from one platform to the other, but the entrances to the two platforms are on opposite sides of the road and so it is necessary to cross it.

Basingstoke has two roads going underneath the platforms at the western end.

Raynes Park has a road going under the end of the up platform (the platforms are staggered). This bridge replaces the original road bridge, now a pedestrian tunnel, which also goes under this platform. This is the second replacement bridge, the first, now a bike tunnel, goes under the very end of the up platform. The first bridge was a typical LSWR under-bridge, just about big enough for a horse and cart; I think that the first replacement could safely take a single-deck bus and the current one a double-deck bus, but I'm not absolutely sure.

The up platform at Kingston has recently been extended over the Richmond Road.

Not sure if it counts but St Pancras has a road underneath its platforms I think?

Not a road per se, but a car park and a load of shops and other platforms (the MML platforms are two floors above the Thameslink platforms)

Blackfriars is arguably notable for being on a bridge over a river.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the tip of the platforms of Three Bridges extend over a road.
