It struck me as odd that they'd change the livery again before the announcement of the new franchise. It's still far from the most complex out there but you do have to wonder at this late stage why they saw fit to do anything other than give the existing livery a clean...

This is the livery that was always intended I think....

Seems adrift with recent rumours about a new non corporate name/identity if abellio keep it that is...

Is that definitely the link you meant to post? Assuming you meant the actual livery on 448, nah it's clearly a promotional livery, I'd never expect the whole fleet to look like that.

Apologies if covered before, but has 321303 had the AC traction pack fitted as part of its refurbishment, or is it just 448 with that at present?

I have found this video on youtube of 321360 heading from Ilford E.M.U.D to Doncaster (5Z21) to collect 321303 which has finished its' refurb and head back to Ilford as 5Z22. Given that 321360 was put onto the rear, and 321303 was used as the driving end, what purpose did 321360 serve?

Possibly a back-up power source. It would be a touch embarrassing if two refurbished units with new technology blocked the GNML.

303 still isn't ready for public use. Has been in and out of the shed all week but still had protective floor coverings etc this morning.

There was an Ilford to Doncaster trip planned for today, but it has been cancelled, but this suggests another unit is about to move.

Has to be checked over and pass many tests.

Apparently it went out today and failed some of them so I guess its chances of being in service next week are limited.

Has this project been delayed thought by the end of the aga franchise this october there were meant to be a fair few 321s fully refurbished or at least with new toilets

They were both out and about on test today although I'm not sure how close or not they are to passenger service.

448 is off to Southend for driver training. One of their instructors took it to Harwich and back (conducted by one of the Ilford Driver Managers).

303 went on a trial run this morning. Was still not ready internally yesterday so not sure when it will be out and about in service.

448 was seen at Southend Vic yesterday where it had moved from one siding to another whilst I visited the town. It's supposedly on crew training down there.

I would assume they still aren't happy with it. 301 was supposed to go to Doncaster last week but was held back whilst 303 is still not fit for service.

With all the attention on the new trains for AGA, whats happening with the renatus project now? Where is 321303?

This has been mentioned in the Bi-modes thread lately.

It is understood that 321303 is back at Derby for mods for a laundry list of issues. There doesn't appear to be any indication of how long it will take to get it and the 3 or 4 others currently up there back, tested and into service.

In the meantime, AGA will be taking surplus 321s from GN when their 387s are in service. So I think you'll be travelling on those before the Renatus units.
