19070 Was only on loan to Preston due to Fishwicks going under but am glad its back at Rock Ferry as they seem to be short on Deckers at the moment

We're glad to have them in Liverpool, the capacity they bring is desperately needed. I haven't had a chance to ride on any of them yet, but I hope to find the time to next week on my day off.

Another website reports six Dart 4s are leaving Gillmoss today, these being 34680 and 34784 to 34788. The same site also reports two of the loaned "Magic Bus" Trident IIs have returned to Manchester, presumably the other one will be heading back home soon, too.

It was me who posted about the 2 Magics heading back, I passed them by chance on the East Lancs

I am also glad the Enviro 400s have arrived into Liverpool and having ridden 4 of them already i think their good quality Buses and are great additions to the fleet, Certainly a step forward

Well having ridden on 19031/45 for the last 8 or so years I find the Scanias SO much smoother to ride on. That early batch of E400s have terrible gear boxes

With the 125 Preston - Bolton service being upgraded to a gold route, can anyone hazard a guess at what will operate the X8 lakes service next year? Are any of the gold E400s tacho equipped??

Id say 15563, 64, 65, or 66 will operate the X8 from Preston, no 125 Gold Vehicles are Tacho'd.

Apparently some of the Enviros from Gillmoss are of to Sheffield and some Tridents from elsewhere will arrive at Gillmoss as replacements, Rock Ferrys 17111 and 17113 have both been seen in service at Gillmoss on the last couple of days so am assuming these will replace 2 of them

It was on the 300 as it was carrying the Christmas Cracker (Stagecoach competition)!!

The depots in the cumbria and lancaster area are doing the christmas cracker competition , I know 3 buses in morecambe are carrying the cracker but can't tell you which ones in case big brother is watching.

Vandals are forcing a bus operator to take action on one of its prime services.

Stagecoach says the vandalism is happening across the Preston to Bolton 125 route.

The operator has just introduced a range of top quality buses on the high frequency route as part of a new multi-million pound investment to services.

It is understood at least one incident involved school pupils on one of the new ‘Gold’ buses in Chorley in which a leather seat was burned last week.

Absolutely dreadful behaviour and a total lack of respect. If the culprit(s) is/are found, then I would make them pay for the damage they caused to the seat at the very least. Such a shame as well, those buses haven't been out on the road very long either.

Interesting to note however that the photo used in the article is that of an Optare Solo, rather than an ADL Enviro400!

There is no reasons, as to why the culprits can't be identified. As all new Stagecoach buses are fitted with CCTV. The footage of which should be shown to the school Head Teacher in front of the Police, so that they can be identified.

17452/99/500, 17202 have all returned to Manchester along with trainer 20603 which was also on long term loan 17283 has also followed the others to Manchester

Severe Weather Update

Taken from Stagecoach website

Due to flooding in Kendal and the Central Lakes, all services operated from Kendal Depot have been suspended. services affected are 41 41A 42 42A 43 43A 45 46 505 516 551 552 555 567 599.

New Road and Aynam Road in Kendal now closed.

Service 755 is now terminating at Milinthorpe.

Service 508 has now been suspended due to flooding.

Service X6 is only operating between Barrow and Grange over Sands.

Service 6 is terminating at Newby Bridge and is unable to serve Winderemere due to flooding along the A592.

Service 78 is now suspended.

Service 79 between Annan and Dumfries is being diverted along the A75 due to flooding at Cummertrees. Whitesands is now closed the 79 Service is being diverted via St Michael Bridge.

Service 104 is diverting along the M6 between junctions 41 and 42 due to flooding along the A6 and the road being closed by the Police.

Services 80, 81A & 81B are suspended due to flooding.

Services X4 & X5 are suspended. This service is not likely to resume this evening.

Service 685 is not operating into Corbridge due to flooding.

Services 600 & 554 are operating between Carlisle and Wigton due to flooding on the A595 at Greenhill.

Service 49 Aldrens Lane has now flooded it will now operate via Whalley Rd and terminate at Beaumont Green.

Service 300 is suspended due to flooding in Aspatria. This service is not likely to resume this evening.

Service 400 and 600 will not serve Wigton King Street due to flooding at the Lidel roundabout. They will be diverted via the bypasss and into Greenacres.

All other services are currently operating but given that the rain is forecast to continue all day and in to this evening disruption to services can be changeable.

No, you're right. Thankfully no vehicles lost though - they were all evacuated to higher ground by 11PM last night.
