Back on topic, there is a post on the RMweb forum which says that from 06.30 on Monday there will be a green HST in platform 1 at Paddington, a full green rake of Night Riviera stock in platform 2 and 166205 in platform 3. The Turbo is apparently being given a GWR interior as well as its coat of green paint, which would explain why it has not been seen in service since its return from Wolverton.
Presumably for a quick photo and filming session before the peak arrivals start to flow in.

If it's Great Western we are talking about, shouldn't the colours really be "Chocolate & Cream?". Preferably with a King or Hall at the front.

Not necessarily. GWR coaching stock livery was plain chocolate from 1908-12 and crimson lake from 1912-22.

It would have looked far smarter if the numbers had been left in their original position, and the gWr logo placed on the front of the cab. It will also make the unit far more identifiable when coupled up - unlike this attempt. Not convinced on either the very small Silver Stripe for the First Class area or the larger silver band / switching to Green over the silver doors.

Agree, number in that position ruins the whole appearance at front

Many Thames Valley stations still have FGWLink signage
And most of them are covered over from their NSE days! This rebranding excessive really is making the Thames Valley a colourful mess at the moment, with GWR, FGW New, FGW Barbie, FGW Link, NSE and IC Great Western Green all making various appearances in different shape or forms. Didcot for example is painted in the new gWr scheme while its waiting rooms and toilets are a mix of Barbie and ICGW, Bramley now is painted in the new green scheme - the first station apparently - but still retains its Pink/Blue/White lampposts, while Mortimer and Reading West are FGW Blue/FGW Link. Why Bramley was chosen ahead of Reading West or Mortimer I don't know, given that it was refurbished and repainted Blue only 6/8 months beforehand, although scruffy Mortimer looks set to receive some modernisation and platform works as part of the electrification of the line - but given that projects delay, it it does seem odd to leave it as is.
I'm certain Southall and surrounding stations have signage from Thames Trains days. Indeed there is a CCTV notice outside the station at Southall that has been stickered over with FGW details but you can still see the outline of Thames Trains underneath it

Thames Trains! Now there's a name id forgotten when doing that list! That is probably because of how little I remember Govia actually rolling out the TT brand over NSE beforehand. Yes, I think Southalls bi lingual signs are from TT as well.
As for the Western end - indeed, most of the signs are still ex Wessex Trains and Regional Railways / Wales & West. Most of the poster frames are still in Wessex Maroon as well. It's going to go rather ironically with all this new Green around - like the divisions of BR meeting again across Wiltshire and Somerset (S&D patches!)
New sign wise - Bramely's is very dull. No TOC branding most of you will be pleased to hear, just black letters on a white background. The new running in board is rather odd, featuring "Welcome to Bramley" - Black letters, White background with the BR double arrow featured in white on a red background. It's all very simple, and unfortunately very cheap looking as well - reminiscent of a cheap BR suburban station in the London area in the 1990s.

Considering a few stations around Bristol have received new FGW station name plates within the last year (First Great Western branded) and new bike sheds (painted blue obviously)
Freshford & Avoncliff stations have 'new' First Great Western name plates. Bradford On Avon station has been painted at some point in terracotta and cream and Trowbridge has had the front door to the station office painted green (although this may only be because the door got kicked in and damaged recently, so they've had to fit a new replacement), as have the columns to the electronic displays, yet the roofs to the new bike shelters that were installed only a few months ago (and the TVM shelters, which were installed only weeks ago) are blue? Looks a mess...
FGW manages so many stations, they'll probably get half way through and then decide it's too much and not bother with the rest. It looks like that's what's happened with all the other previous liveries/TOCs.

Are you all trying to suggest that stations - and parts of stations - or trains being in all manner of paint jobs from different eras is a new thing?
There were BR totems signs and regional paint jobs at stations in all sorts of places into the late 1970s - the double-arrow corporate image and black on white Helvetica station signs had been introduced in 1964.
Thames Trains hardly bothered painting any stations at all - and had just about got round to repainting its fleet when FGW Link replaced Thames, though I have a suspicion there were still some Turbos in NSE colours. At Moreton-in-Marsh the main timber platform canopy has just been repainted for the first time since Regional Railways was running the Cotswold Line. Charlbury station has been repainted by FGW using the 'old GWR' light and dark stone paint shades.

EMT & SWT likewise do not use the Stagecoach name as part of the public brand.
