Managed to get a photo of the HST set myself yesterday under the roof at York. It can be found on the first post of this thread

I think out of all designers, Ray Stenning being an enthusiast and understanding the different body designs on both trains and buses, made sure the livery was adapted correctly for the HST and not a'botched' 91 job.
I beg to differ, and instead agree with XCTurbostar on this one. None of the three BR era liveries applied to the HSTs (which are popularly held to have been well designed) cut the lower front skirt in two aesthetically, or ran light colours over the bodyside radiator grille as this area is prone to dirt build up (In fact, on the VTEC livery this is even more incongruous as the radiator grille is painted black and the white sweep runs slap bang into it): BR did paint over the lower sections of the radiator grille in warning yellow on the first couple of Intercity Executive repaints, but then very quickly and sensibly reverted to incorporating into the livery a broad diagonal band of a dark colour (previously rail blue, then falcon grey) across this area.

This looks very much like "a bodge of the 91s livery" in my opinion.

Not sure of how much interest this will be but the set operating the 1905 Leeds - KX tonight was in Virgin livery, albeit with an East Coast liveried coach about half way down!

I saw what I assume was the same set last night at Doncaster, the whole set (maybe not the 91) was in Virgin livery with the buffet coach (10330) being in East Coast livery. Think I will ask over on the TOPS request thread about what set it was.....

Even arriving into KX on Monday afternoon, it was noticeable how many more Class 91's were in VTEC livery (Even though the rest of the carriages were not). The livery programme is really kicking up a pace now.

After a day at Doncaster yesterday, i became aware a few of the 43's did not have a purple strip. I have added the ones which didn't to the list on the first page.

EMT hand me down now in VTEC livery.

Edit: or maybe this is the old EC set which has the same style seats as the EMT unit?
Either that or the train is backwards.

Edit 2: Just realised it can't be the EMT as there are power sockets in standard.

NL65 is now in VTEC wrap. It's been at Craigentinny for a couple of weeks for various things.

DVT 82204 is not in Virgin Trains East Coast livery.
It is still in East Coast livery with a Virgin logo.

Was on Doncaster yesterday, and there was a HST set with East Coast 43s (43308 and 43257) and a full set of Virgin red coaches (this set included coach 42130) although the restaurant car was in National Express livery.

I actually quite like the VTEC HST livery, it looks good in both the first photo and my avatar.

I can confirm that HST power car 43317 is now in Virgin Trains East Coast livery. Saw it outside Craigentinny yesterday.
DVT 82207 has also been done. :)

43251 now in Virgin livery, with a slightly modified roof detail on the front end. Looks better than the others.

Interesting shot Boothby, I saw the same set today but some more shuffling has occured, fourth coach along from 43320 has been swapped out for a Virgin one. Also note the set is running with an extra standard class coach in lieu of first. https://flic.kr/p/wEYDsB

Also, another variation. 91130 now wears old-school East Coast with a white cab roof https://flic.kr/p/wnZs9T

Power car 43300 'Craigentinny' is now in Virgin Trains East Coast livery, it still carries the nameplates but no longer has the 'Craigentinny 100' vinyls.
